My fav venue. Hippies skinny dipping across from Paradice Beach on the American River which ran along the south side of Cal Expo. Peddled my bike to the show from Carmichael via the American River Parkway hippie flippin' all the way past nude deadhead sisters wearing only a smile walking down the bike trail. In 1991 the rangers shut that scene down. It was fucking heaven! Thanks for the ride thru memory lane bro!

The band in their peak for all of 1989. Brent just killing the Good Times Blues Oh Well What the hell ! Second set is a smoker Truckin >Wang Dang> Crazy >Cumberland >Eyes just beautiful and anytime you get three Garcia tunes in a row is a special treat ! I attended this great run of shows, only Saturday & Sunday though.
This is a wonderful show. It was and is a total blast. The on-site camping was the best thing this side of Laguna Seca and Autzen.
