Hey man, I've started playing Tekken 7 a couple of weeks ago, and watching you play Dragonav I'm also playing it, i get beat up very, but I'm learning slowly, the frames and mixups. Its kinda difficult, but your tutorials help me, thanks man for everything! Stay safe
Good luck on your journey! Tekken is absurdly hard to learn. I also highly recommend Anakins channel, you dont really need any other channels in my opinion. Always remember that its all about learning the basic Tekken system. You dont need to learn super opimized max damage combos. 1. Pick a char that you like, 2. understand the Tekken system, 3. then learn matchups.
Hello! May be you may record videos like "what should I do against every character in general". As you say - sidestep + backdash against DJ and challenge to his lasercannon.. scraper... Homing) So - do few tips against every character will be really helpful. Thx.
Isn't it the case that the sooner you block out of a sidestep the less evasive it is? The later you block the more chance you have to avoid their attack? Isn't sidewalk more evasive up close but riskier?
@@xRhychux kazumi ff2 can still be avoided with a small sidestep, also just saying "mid launchers" is pretty vague since there is plenty of them in the game with varying properties.
Usually sw is best when you're trying to avoid a full string, if you ss backdash a string u may avoid the initial first hit of the string but not rest and then you end up forcing to block it, which in turn might give them plus frames or be pretty safe on block, something you could've avoided completely with a sw and punish.
@@Lehao_TK Miguel and Bob are okay. In low ranks, any character played well is OP. They're not recommended for Higher Ranks like Purple & Red Ranks. This isn't Tekken 6 anymore.

Learn the basics first then worry about frames and mix-ups. That shit is too hard to grasp for a beginner and you are just going to give up too fast.

This is so eerie to watch I don't understand how it works but it does
man i learn so much from you
He's lika a god at this game and still so humble. So much respect for him.
Only time i would sidewalk over sidestep is against strings or moves where i can easily get to their back like wr moves

JDCR you're the Goat! 💯
Wow really good advice JDCR! Thank you a lot for your informative videos!
I'm waiting for jdcr to finally evolve and beat all the top tekken players and become to best again
Wtf this is so helpful actually. I love you jdcr, thank you ♥
Sidestep advice from the master himself? Sweet. It seems like ss backdash is the safest option, if so then when should you (if ever) sidewalk?
When you know it beats a certain move they love to do, like Kazumi ff2 and mid launcher?

@@michaelangelo70 I meant her mid kicking launcher, not mid launchers in general lol. Not sure if it's ff3 or ff4, I realize I worded it poorly
@@xRhychux Oh, her ff4 u mean? That's a pretty linear move so it's avoidable with a normal sidestep, no need for fancy sidewalks here.
Can you talk about improving low defense in your next video?
Thanks man, I learn so much from you
🐐👌
Nice vid!
jdcr sama so when do you actually have to sidewalk instead of step-block?

Sidestep backdash input pliz? u to bb immediately or u need to wait a frame to input the backdash?
JDCR low key sound like a fluent english speaker now
Me, Steve player: shoulder check
Hello JDCR ive been watching your videos lately 😆 i've got a question for miguel and bob, do you think they're a good character to be main?
Every char is good. Play char gives you good emotions.

Hello!
One of my dudes play Steve , we often play against each other and u can't ss Steve so when it comes to side steps I ain't got shit
You only need sidestep to avoid hellswepp?????
Yes, in all Tekkens except Tekken 7.
We need the real sidestep back.
Jdcr im moving to japan and learning japanese. I want to really get in to the local scene and would love to fight you.
best of luck mate

this is the kind of stupid question that Aris would shoot someone for. because it's situational. neither is "better".
Ss or sw? Answer: none.
Movement in this game is too counterintuitive
