What makes Sebastian's unbelievable strength even more impressive is that he just looks normal. Strong, but normal. But then he grabs tbe barbell and his strength is just insane.
Yep. 940@110 is fucking absurd
I can't wait to one day look "normal".
@@vvoof2601 I mean normal as in not a giant like Eddie Hall, Loz, Big Z etc. Compared to them he is relatively normal size.
@@douglasnisbet1189 True.
Yea I was going to say " normal"? He's jacked but yea compared to some of the giants like b shaw or Eddie I guess
That was one of my favourite videos. I have watched both of your channels but with Loz adjusting his lift to Sebs direct coaching made a lot of sense of the cues. It makes clear the technical aspects better than a straight how to video. This is now my go to bench technique video. Brilliant.
It took years for my bench technique to finally click and feel powerful and this is the video that helped me do it, thank you Sebastian. 315lbs/140kg flew off my chest.
Awesome to hear 💪🏽👍🏽
Bas' bench technique is awesome! I've been using it ever since I came across it a few years ago. You just feel completely locked in if you follow his cues correctly, bench has felt amazing ever since.
Well done Loz !! Keeping up with him even after a massive flight !!! Beast Mode !!!
Love these types of training videos. A great example that you can always keep learning from others.
Outstanding video. I learned so much from Sebastian in this. What a great bloke!
This is a bloody awesome video! Helped with some bench issues I've been experiencing.
2 absolute gentlemen, was a pleasure to watch. Loved the tips, Sebs knowledge is unbelievable.
Seb is very well rounded. Great information from two great guys. Good collaboration.
Keeping on track after flying, well done.
Thank you both for visiting Sebastian, his knowledge of strength is very good.
Excellent coaching excellent video. And Loz is excellent at learning. Love it!
LOVE ASC, so smart but explains in the simplest terms, thank you for the vid Loz and enjoy Oz!
Wow, some amazing tips in this video. Going to apply them to my routines.
It looked liked you had the Australian Robert Oberst training there too.
Thanks Loz and Liz for the video.Great day great training.
Love this video. My bench is pretty poverty level but I've been working hard to improve it. It's great to see a lot of things I've done to make it better are demonstrated in this video. The one cue I think I'll be able to take away from this video is the heels down on the eccentric. Leg drive is definitely something I need to improve. Also I never thought of myself as a big arch bencher...but a few days ago was the first time I really filmed a set since I've been doing things to improve my technique and my arch is WAY more pronounced than I ever felt like it was. But I don't consider it a major cut to my ROM because I am a pretty close grip bencher and feel strongest about a thumb away from the smooth. But again, great video, Loz!
I really enjoy your vids man you motivate me alot to reach my goal to become Norways strongest man one day.
I will never give up until i reach my goal.💪🏆
Great video, more like this would be awesome 👍🏻
Great Vid, learned a lot, and Seb seems a very sound bloke 👍
Wow so much great information such a great video
I enjoyed todays video
I don’t bench but this was a really interesting watch. Kinda makes me want to now . Seb seems such a nice guy. Loved the gym music!!!🤘
What a brilliant video 💪💪
This is fricken gold!
Seb's a real fountain of knowledge. On a side note he comes second in craziest eyes in powerlifting, Chris Duffin being the first
Love the collaboration Loz. Would like to see you collaborate with some more American lifters
Yep Loz you are a LEGEND
The Things I would do to be able to train in such a environment. Such nice guys!
Insightful. More ASC collabs
Great tips can’t wait to use them as bench always feels inferior, thank you
Ooh nice we got some Behemoth playing in the background!
Great video
Behemoth and Big Loz!!
Rhyss and Big T! 🤘
Holding your brace throughout a set is a game changer for bench. Takes a minute to get used to feeling like your head's about to explode though hah.
Pleasure to see big Loz and his lovely wife here in Melbourne Australia 👍.. AND brother Rongo too. Churr brother
Kia Ora 💯
Superb
Tremendous video
Sebastian Oreb is an absolute technician
Seems like a great guy
This was really good to see. So many good tips and made it really clear seeing you being able to put them into action.
I noticed Sebastian's forearm tattoo. I wonder if he has Croatian roots because that looks like Croatian coat of arms. Great video, very informative.
oreb one of the best trainers in the world
My biggest question, is why a huge location, like the continent of australia, has only one strength coach.
I think the other coaches are not on youtube ?!
If you look at where people live nearly everyone lives near the coast, mainly due to the outback being fly infested shi*hole.
Also the population of Australia is pretty small when you think it's a massive continent. Aus presumably has more than one strength coach. No clue who they are though. :)
there's heaps of strength coaches in Australia.. and lot's of good ones. Seb is just good at marketing. Not saying he isn't good. He's great. But he also knows how to sell his business well.
continent twice the size of europe and theres less than half of the population of just england living there
@@moodfm5673 and only one strength coach. Amazing
Please go train with Josh Bryant in Texas, USA! He’s got some very strong lifters and especially in Bench Press!
Aye that’s @palehorsepowerlifting in the back
Wonder if the ‘over tucking’ a lot of power lifters do is due to either using shirts or watching shirted lifters who maybe get more from the shirt with a more obvious tucked position?
Hi Loz!
He was weird but I liked him. His knowledge was next level.
That's how I bench now ever since my shoulder injury
Wow... it's not everyday a non Strongman pushes Big Loz in the gym 👍
Great video. The bloke seems such a decent guy with a lot of advice. Also who the fuck is that HUGE cowboy looking dude you see dead lifting? Looks a beast
Rhyss Keane
I heard that arching is used to help engage your lats for stabilization and at least to me thats what it feels like
But some powerlifters just look like they’re trying to cheat a shorter range of motion with the biggest arch the physically can do
In regard to the discussion around 4:05 I'd put it as strongman being as strong as possible in as many ways as you can. Powerlifters I'd say are as strong as possible with the shortest possible rom.
I can relate to children based injuries lol. I judo threw my then ten year old son onto the bed, I'm not trained in judo and messed my shoulder up for a couple of months. Of course my son was like "yeah I know you hurt your shoulder but can't you do it on the other one?' thanks for caring lol.
How much was that leg press? Did they say 570kgs?
Although Sebastian has proven exceptional results, and is also personally an elite level lifter, Thomas Lilley is pretty unreal if we're being honest.
Jesus, just been watching the deadlifts from Europe's Strongman in 2014, not sure if it's because I'm used to seeing you with baggy shirts on, but christ, you looked absolutely huge, didn't recognise you at first, although that might of been the beard! 🤣
👌👍💪
Loz has double the ROM
I don't know a thing about powerlifting. But I wonder. Why do they not stretch their arms fully out when they do bench press. I thought that was a big no no. But they don't stretch out on any of the repetitions. Loz Is almost there. But the other guy pretty much stops on the halfway. I am sure there is a reason for this that i don't know about. Please, can someone explain?
Good to see Sebastian..
Loz.. quick tips to Help you with your bench..
Grip - 1. Squeeze the Bar as hard as possible. Imagine trying to squeeze water out of a sponge Or imagine Crushing the Bar inside your hands. A Strong Grip will Activate Your Whole Forearms. 2. 'Break the Bar' - try and break the bar Or think try and Open a Stuck jar lid. that strong grip action and twisting motion trying to Open the Jar or Break the Bar will further help activate your forearms, fires up your triceps, Activates your Strong Back & most importantly will automatically lower down your shoulders to a Stronger & Safer Pressing Position. Also , a Wider Grip will always put more strain On The Shoulders ; you mention you have shoulder discomforts.. try and move your grip In one finger at a time see how it feels on your shoulders and overall Pressing Power.. a narrow grip is safer for the shoulders... cue Break the Bar really is a Game Changer for most.
He was all so Thor’s coach I believe at one point
I think he coached him for the 501kg deadlift
I'm training for strongman. But I also work for bench. As that is always what people assume is "being strong" but I consider strong if you can pick up your body weight on a atlas stone. Funny what people consider being "strong"
what happened to your thumb?
i wonder if the guys in the background are sizing you up? like they are thinking he don't look that strong.
I'm sure they know about elite lifter Big Loz.
Jus in this session loz bench looks way better
Sebastian kinda looks like joe Rogan lmao
You're only learning how to bench now?
The funny thing is that australian with the hat training with that huge beard .that creates a testosterone environment ..
We Aussies thank him every day for creating a testosterone environment within our country, except we do have nice winters when he goes away on holiday.
Bloke spent a bit of time there searching for his crocodile I think? He was even checking in the lockers❤
Still can’t stand this bloke after watching the way he tried to bully judges on behalf of Thor at WSM. It was disgusting.
Full range of motion is key otherwise u cheating, period, and more importantly not that strong!🤔🤨🤨🤔👁👁👁🤨🤔
everybody wrecks their left shoulder. it's just the thanos of weightlifting. inevitable. seb's such a gent btw.
Who is the cool dude in the cowboy hat
hardly anyone can throw both hands. it's such a difficult technical movement (for long throws anyway). i do everything both hands. it's good for the brain. even play left and right handed guitars.
Superb
