The Federal Reserve System, (FRS), is a Treaty organisation. Their entire operation is solely under Treaty Law and the rules of protocol. The US Fed is a franchise of the FRS. The US Fed is under the same protections offered under Treaty Law. This means there is no legal power, authority or court process within our global political system, at any level, that has the legal right or power to cancel the US Fed Treaty with the US Government. While it's true the US Government is capable of cancelling the US Fed Treaty, such action is only permissible after the US pay their outstanding debt obligation to the Federal Reserve System. Currently, the US Government's debt obligation to the FRS is calculated well in excess of $1 quadrillion dollars. At current US economic performance levels, it would take the US Government well in excess of 100 years to repay their debt.
On another parallel note, it's interesting to consider the logic behind China's plan to collapse the US Dollar; usurp control of the US Fed; move the US Fed to Beijing, and renaming it the "China Federal Reserve".
If the US Fed is so bad, so corrupt and sinister, why is it China is so determined to get control over it?
In essence, this would give China Federal Reserve sole legal authority over the global monetary system in its entirety. In turn, the US would be forced to give up all rights, claims and authority over the US Dollar past, present or future. The US currency system would be legally restructured under a new currency issuance, "US Treasury Note". This change would alter our world forever. The US would become little more than an average performing economy with the rest of its neighbors in the America's.

@@thomasholmes4556 interesting theory. Advanced monetary policy isnt my strong suit. I don't know that the Fed is corrupt, so much as it is covert, which makes it inherently suspect. If it's true that China's aiming to usurp the Fed, my guess towards a motive would be to gain access its books and have them turned over to an army of kung fu accountants. Its beyond my imagination what effects The Audit To End All Audits would have on global economy, aside from providing China with some leverage over it's massive collection of T-bonds and treasury notes... While the US dollar may be "fiat currency", as the good doctor describes it, ultimately, it's global reserve status and purchasing power is intrinsically tied to the 'petro-dollar', and as long as oil is traded in USD and sustains the world's energy demands, it will remain the world's top currency...
As for what equitable claim the Federal Reserve has over this emanant wealth, apart from the tiny shavings of its entirety equally portioned among every printed greenback in circulation - apart from the Fed's proprietary hold on each and every one of them... I'm not the guy to ask.

The information I provided is not theory but actual fact on the origins and history of the Federal Reserve System and subsequent US Fed franchise. There's little to speculate regarding China's interest in controlling the Fed. The US Fed is a world wide monetary monitoring/payment system that ties our global banking system together from top to bottom, inside and out. Again, by cause of treaty, the US Dollar is the only legally recognized International Reserve Currency for international settlement or underpinning of currency transactions. This would put China in absolute control over the entire world monetary system. I think that's sufficient enough motive. The FRS treaty, by design cannot be altered, modified, updated or cancelled by any political authority, or combination thereof. The Treaty is fixed permanently. As for the "ghost monetary mechanisms" including the "Petro Dollar" trading shenanigans, once utilized by the G7 to cover all their mistakes and stupidity around the world, it will interest you to note all such "Petro Dollar Trades" are a thing of history since October of 2013. Unlike the G7, the US Fed never needed to stoop to convoluted secret off book trades to support the US Dollar. At its formation, the US Fed was given access to 2,250,000 tons in T50 gold as reserves in full support for the issuance of US Dollar. Of that amount, 86,400 tons T50 gold was deposited at Fort Knox. The deposit is there today. It's under the sole authority and control of the Federal Reserve System. Contrary to popular conspiracy theories, the US Government has no control over Fort Knox vaults or the T50 gold deposited their in. The vaults have been under constant survalence 24/7 since the vault was sealed. The vault is audited yearly by the FRS and US Congress by means of a weight scale built into the vault floor for specifically audit purposes.

In 1907 the U.S. was in financial crisis, President Theodore Roosevelt learnt the banking system from Europe and wanted to create the central bank in US. He submitted the plan to the Legislature for approval and it was approved until 1013. It was first supposed to name the Central Bank of US, but there was a bank in New York got a similar name. To avoid confusing, they named the Federal Reserve System instead. We had a lot of financial turmoil back then, latter there was the Great Depression from 1929-1934. After the British economist John Mayer Keynes who intensively studied the Great Depression introduced the new economic theory involving the unemployment, the price and the wage and the output. From that the Fed have the independent power on monetary policy under supervision of the Congress. No economists were sure about the future of the US economy in the long run, most of the time they only predicted the outcome about 70% chance to be right. But with that % of the prediction, that would be a dam good. If you predict 70% correctly on the New York Stock Exchange outcome, you will be very rich!! So far what I have seen was only Ben Bernanke was the best chairman of the Fed from the Ronald Reagan Adm. to Obama Adm.

This means there is no legal power, authority or court process within our US Government political system, at any level, that has the legal right or power to cancel the existing US Fed Treaty. While it's true the US Government has legal recourse for cancelling the US Fed Treaty it has with the FRS, such action is only legally permissible after the US pay their outstanding debt obligations to the Federal Reserve System. Currently, the US Government's debt obligation to the FRS is calculated well in excess of $1 quadrillion dollars. At current US economic performance levels, it would take the US Government well in excess of 100 years to repay their debt.
On another parallel note, it's worth carefully considering the logic behind China's plan to collapse the US Dollar; usurp control of the US Fed; move the US Fed to Beijing, and renaming it the "China Federal Reserve".
If the US Fed is so bad, so corrupt and sinister, why is it China is so determined to wrangle control over it, instead of destroying it?
Imagine if you will the consequences of a China Federal Reserve? Effectively, this would give China sole legal authority over the global monetary system in its entirety. Some might view this as quaint, but the reality would be catastrophic . . .
    Worth thinking over . . .

We can make the US dollar worthless or close to it and pay off that quadrillion and then fire the FED RESERVE.. Be in charge of our own destiny.

I appreciate your spirit . . . and I don't mean to be facetious, or patronizing in my comments herein, rather I wish to inspire open and constructive discussion and debate on this topic. So, therefore, where do you suggest we get all this money to pay our debt; get rid of the US Fed; reissue our new US Treasury Note; and defend our economic future well being from the China Fedreal Reserve?
The United States, on it's own as a nation, is monetarily broke . . . penniless . . . it has no monetary asset to support our expectations of business, development, technology or the simple day to day consumer habits of the average American. As a consequence of ending the US Fed, we would be forced deeper and deeper into the bottomless abyss of "economic vampirism". And, while doing so, it's a certainty we would fall into another civil war over the ensuing desparities.
From a practical perspective, the US Fed isn't the enemy of America . . . however the overwhelming evidence shows the US Treasury Bond is! All of the trouble in our world economy today can be traced back to 5 key events that forever changed our world just after 1947:
      1) The creation of NATO
      2) The creation of the UN
      3) The creation of G7
      4) The creation of CIA
      5) The creation of Special Issue US Treasury Bond to replace US Dollar.
We've been behind the 8 ball ever since, living off of the "ghost credit" that was intentionally instituted by the political elite as a "soft tool" for tyranny over the people of all nations; thus preventing anyone from being truly free again.
