Nice review and thanks for that blast around the fens, brings back memories of when I used to fish there many years ago. I've had the 8S for almost a year now and love it, it's been a superb bike. That grunt never gets boring 😉 Cheers 👍
The 8S is also a fantastic bike, I rode one last year but the GoPro footage turned out unusable for a video!
Have to say I absolutely love this engine, I really don't understand the snobbery some bikers have when it comes to parallel twins! 👍🏻

I'm an old dog that after a long career in karting and cars decided to switch to bikes at almost 50 because cars are, well, pretty much dead, at least when it comes to the pleasure of driving.
I've found the bike world to be going through a golden era with a huge selection of bikes and categories to choose from, without the riding pleasure having been lost to modernization, yet.
I have amassed a mere 5k Km with my XSR 125 and am looking for an upgrade, that bike is great but I want a do-it-all bike that can do highway travel, and also am a sucker for torque.
So I had settled for the CBR500R as my do-it-all bike until this one came along and it seems to be the best choice as my next bike.

You won't go wrong with this bike! I genuinely enjoyed it much more than I was expecting!
Full exhaust and ECU flash has yielded another 8-10 horsepower and 9-10 ft-lb torque. That and dropping 7-8 pounds weight. Lots of performance on the table under the chef's cloche, as with all euro5 bikes.
Excellent. It definitely feels like this engine has more to give. 👍🏻
