Going to the Spirited Away Hotel! (bento boxes on the bullet train, kaiseki dinner) : lazy girl vlog

visited the Shima hot springs town in Gunma prefecture, just about 2 hours away from Tokyo!
we stayed at the famed Sekizenkan which is said to have inspired the bath house that appears in Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away. The hotel itself is so so historic, and it was one of the most unique stays I've experienced. Shima onsen town was not once it used to be - they have struggled to keep businesses running over the years resulting in less hustle and bustle. but in my short stay I found the whole town so quaint and charming, and I met the nicest people who seem to care very deeply about their home.
