ASMR story about the History of Ancient Rome, for relaxation and sleep. This is the first of two parts, because there were too many things to say for one single video. The next part about the end of the Republic and the Empire will be out soon. In this video, I tell you about the origins of Rome, its slow emergence and wars until the 1st Century BC - including the founding of the Republic and the rivalry between the Senate and the plebs, the conquest of Italy, the wars against Carthage, the overseas expansion, figures like Scipio, Marius, Sulla, Pompey and Caesar, and also life, religion, society, urbanism and warfare in Roman antiquity.

I have to ask, is the French Whisperer rolling on Ecstasy or MDMA? I have never seen anyone's hands move so constantly yet sensually over the most mundane objects, such as keys, paper, his own hands... It's fascinating to watch. I love watching him draw!
It would be really awesome if you did a video about the Romani people or who are commonly referred to as gypsies.
I've been waiting on this for years :D. Also, religion in new provinces was often linked to the Roman ones, for example, shrines have been found that were build by German auxiliaries, to make sacrificies to a German deity that was also linked explicitely to Jupiter. Epona for example was one of the rare examples of a foreign god simply being transplanted into the Roman pantheon as well.
I think it's interesting that Rome actually had pretty good human rights and a just legal system, especially in comparison to their neighbors.
