my first thought when i saw someone filling a hallow with cement years ago was, 'I'm using resin' 😊 that epoxy putty is quite nice. soooo much easier to work with than epoxy resin.
Yeah I'm keen on the wax techniques in sealing and honey use as an antibacterial product. For me it's using what's available at home rather than spending tons of money on products, plus it's natural. ✌️❤️🇳🇿
When normal protective material is used for zelkova, callus formation is too vigorous and often results in bumps. Therefore, I only disinfect zelkova with ink. I am using the Auto Mach HTC-30.
@@bonsai-shinshi Hola.

Epoxy putty is convenient because it is easy to handle.

It's the most convincing tree cavity treatment I've ever done or seen in other videos. I want to use this method in the future. thank you very much.

Holes make the tree look more natural and more interesting in my opinion.
Tree hollows weaken the trees and cannot be maintained for a long time.

Hello Bonsai Shinshi. Will you please show how to chop a maple in stages like Master Ebihara?
It looks like a face where the first wound was, cool.

Bom dia, Flor do dia!
Obrigado pelo seu comentário.
Does it heal with a hollow cavity in the tree or does it push the epoxy out as it heals?
😎👍

Very informative video, when is the best time/season to do this work?
The fact that there are no leaves but buds seem to be swelling indicates that this work is being performed now; late winter/early spring 😁
It can be done from this time to autumn.

I didnt like that you put the epoxy putty in side the hole . The hole was looking nice like some animal had made its home in trunk of the tree.
In Japan, bonsai with tree hollows is not worth it.

Are holes in the trunk not desirable? Can't they give an impression of age?
Trees without hollows are difficult to make and very expensive, so we aim to make them.
