"Luka on his third teammate" narrative is so stupid. Porzingis is now a role player, and Brunson/Kyrie absolutely worked well with Luka. The organization lost Brunson by gambling on his free agency, it wasnt Luka's ego pushing him out or anything like that. And now Kyrie is playing one of his best seasons ever
I do think Kidd also did not work to fit in Brunson like he did with Kyrie.
You got it backwards, Luka worked well with Brunson.

@@recoil53 Kidd only had one season with Brunson & Brunson had his breakout in the playoffs under Kidd. Kidd also made the decision to start JB next to Luka. It all came down to Cuban & Nico not extending JB when JB asked for it around January of 2022.

The “Luka dilemma” only exists for people who don’t know ball and/or hate Luka and are consistently shocked that he wins and plays well so often. Where is the criticism for Shai having 31% usage in the loss last night? Not me saying Shai deserves the most blame for anyone on the Thunder, but Luka is always the main focus of criticism even when he puts up good numbers in losses

KD thought Steph was doing to be a Wade to his Lebron, but all he did was catapult Steph over himself all time. His mistake was going to GSW in the first place.
KD needed a team where the spotlight was on Steph, Steve Kerr is an all time coach, and Draymond was the energy on the locker room.
Not a good comp whatsoever. Luka has a much deeper bag than Harden. I understand they're both ball-centric, but that's about where the comparison ends.
Quite unfair to Luka, he had to carry the Mavs like crazy this season because of the injuries, it's not until the trade deadline they got to play with a solid team structure for several games in a row. It wasn't the same for the others, and it immediately changed when the new players came onboard and the team got healthy.

The only fair comparison for Luka is Lebron. You aren’t watching him if you think he is closer to harden, yes he uses the step back 3 but that doesn’t mean his whole game is similar to harden. Luka might be both the best isolation & PnR player ever.

Luka is far better of a team player than Melo. And the only problem with Harden is his mindset. Luka has bought in from day one and been a historic playoff and big game performer. Harden? Not so much. You will be wrong about Luka

I've said that about Bud and Doc. Good coaches that bring order.
But they aren't great coaches. The problem with Bud is that he is so inflexible and devoted to his system. He will try out other defenses and even offenses - they will even work. But he will pull the plug on them.

Nba coaching matters if you have a philosophy, you’re pitch perfect in organizing, and you communicate n set roles in the team regardless of the success. Spolster enforces Miami for two decades, Pop owns SA, and Tye Lue is a promising coach for new upcoming along with Budhenhozer.

What proof do we have about any given player having a specific Coach fired or hired.
Difference between Josh Allen & current Durant is that Allen plays better in the playoffs overall & at least gets out of the 1st round.
On top of that, Durant has much more control over his team's overall success by default of playing in the NBA. It's 5 on 5 & you play both ends.
In the NFL, QBs can only control a fraction of that. You can make all the right reads, throw great passes, escape pressure, etc. but you are completely dependent on the receiver to catch the ball, your defense to make stops, your kicker to hit FGs, your coaches to out maneuver the opposing coaches, etc.
Durant is an all time great talent, but he has way more control over his game than Allen, Burrow, Lamar, etc have on their sport (even in terms of team mobility & choosing where to play).
Please tell me he isnt counting Dirks last season as his “teammate.”……..
