@@haunteddreams7856 The water would have been freezing and there was a strong current, he was also in clothes which is hard to swim in, how could he just get out of the water? He struggled to swim a single length when he did that swimming event lol. Even a strong swimmer would be in a lot of danger. They should have thought of something that didn't involve him having to swim if they want to ever bring him back.

I'm so in 2 minds about this. I know that this means they are leaving the door open for him at least for a bit, but I can't imagine a circumstance in which he would survive and wouldn't come right back for his kids. Amnesia? He drifted to Calais and ended up in a coma? If they decide to bring him back, it will be difficult to explain away why he didn't return quickly. Other characters I would believe staying away, but not Mick Carter. He lives for his kids and if he survived he would have also done anything to find out if Linda survived. So I really don't know. I mean, I was convinced for months that Tina was going to show up alive and blow the lid on Gray, but she was dead the whole time, so I don't know.
