- Ralf Klinnert makes a solid pitch but it ends awkwardly when he invites the Dragons to try his product and they all decline but is Ralf agile enough to secure a deal for his children's running game in the Den?
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

Love Duncan's honesty 🤣
"Would anyone like to have a go?"
"NO."
There is a nicer way to decline but Duncan has NO filter.
he's useless never invests and says everything is crap which then go on to make millions
Duncan has over 75% of his money off shore to evade taxes not to mention he is a card holding racist...

they probably hire them on Fiver.

Yes, I can't hear the narrator very well anymore.

I think he said in a normal way. He didnt like the awkward silence so he answered for everybody. It was not to be mean.
Here's my pitch for dragons den:
My product idea is called an "Audio mixer", this wonderful invention allows you to mix together for example 3 audio tracks, and control their individual volume so that the poor people trying to understand the narrator of a TV show can actually hear what he's saying! I'll take £30 for 100%
He wants to sell those for NEARLY A THOUSAND QUID?! For putting an old Simon game module into traffic cones?? The maker who's charging him that much is taking the piss 😂
Glad I’m not the only one who thought this.
Its not even original simpler and more popular games were out before he even made this

Duncan is 100% right about the grants for this particular businessman…the gov grant pays his rent, buys his food and funds his “product”…now he wants someone else to keep funding his sense of entitlement. This guy is so suspish….no way I’d do it.
If this guy were a sleezy slackoff that just drained the taxpayer money then obviously he wouldnt spend his time making a buisness right? Hes doing this to get off the welfare can we not agree?
Not only wastes the grant but then talks about having the item made over seas
Yes, agreed. Personally, I’m especially frustrated by the fact that I work in nonprofits and we depend on grants, but grant systems in so many countries are often abused by bad actors, or people who are just incompetent. So not only did he take grant money that could have gone to a better project, he’s damaging the grant system and making the nonprofit field at large a more difficult place to work. (And it’s already an immensely challenging sector.)
I don't think he has a sense of entitlement, he just is an electronic engineer with a poor head for business quite honestly. The game itself could be fun
He know how to play the system. Good for him
"Would anyone like to have a go?".....silence!!!....."no!" - awks!!! Haha

Sort of annoys me when we give government grants towards a product the owners want to manufacture overseas. Doesn’t feel right.
Not to mention that a huge chunck of this cheap production is slave labor and child labor. You might say that this program is one big commercial for them
There is a reason why they give it out. If successful, the company creates jobs and pays taxes. So in the long run they get their money back
@@killler240 No this one methinks .
Er... if there are no affordable domestic production facilities, or none who can do it to a high standard, why on earth would you remain domestic??? A successful domestic company does not have to produce locally, their success brings jobs and the taxes go back into the system to cover the grants they received.
@@nisnga147 That's nonsence and advocating for slavery and child labor. Those taxes are alot different for big international companies and they don't pay taxes at all.

Having spent 14 years at the technical end of a moulding company I can say that £70k for a mould isnt a lot. However it IS pricey for such a basic Shap product
thanks for your informative post.
@@erzr i Agree. I hadn’t had the slightest how much it should actually cost to make
Use an ‘off the shelf’ cone and adapt it.
If it was a custom mould, maybe. They're literally traffic cones, even if you don't literally recycle old traffic cones, you don't need special tooling for something so mass produced already.
Dragons always do a 180 when Peter says he likes it
It's the sheep effect 🏃♂️🐑🐑
Peter has a ton of connections and is willing to bring in huge buyers. For the other investors getting in on a deal with him is extremely profitable. They can sit back and let him do all the work.
Peter is 6ft 7. Thats why.
Well he owns some toy companies, so he knows the market for this specific product
The editor really must hate the narrator lol
Right??
legend has it, the editor and narrator is constantly at war
He spent a fifth of a million to make 7k back from some coloured traffic cones? I don't have any words for this
He should have just paid someone to write a phone app for it that either flashes the color pattern or shouts the colors and left it up to the end users to choose traffic cones, wooden stakes, colored paper stapled to trees, etc.
Unbelievable it costs him out of pocket, $400 to make 4 cones that light up and a remote control. Literally $10 worth of plastic and technology.
There’s NO WAY a normal person, or school is going to pay a thousand bucks for that game.
That’s insane.
This entrepreneur is a money pit.
What a waste of tax money.
I could MAYBE see paying (out of pocket) $100 for this game if it’s VERY WELL made (durable) and has a really cool online app to keep track of scoring...to choose light rythems. Etc.
I think the entrepreneur should have counter offered... told the dragons to lower their equity some once they get their money back.
I’ve got a feeling this game/idea from this guy isn’t going to turn out very profitable though.
@@toniroberts8117 Public funding prices. As they said he is receiving state money so that their schools can buy his overly expensive product. It's just tax supported all the way and he has no great motivation or reason to make it cheaper as long as he is paid.

Just because taxes “can” pay for outrageous priced stuff doesn’t mean it’s a good thing.
We have tons of private pharmaceutical companies here and they charge the most INSANE prices for their product because insurance will pay.

I don’t support this kind of stuff. Personally.
I agree totally with Duncan on this one.
It’s funny how Barbara claims she doesn’t agree with Duncan’s position on government funded grants... yet she won’t invest because his entire investment was never “his” money... and just the government’s lol. Therefore she doesn’t think he will “care” as much about its future success
Can’t have it both ways Barbara. 😆
@@toniroberts8117 I don't think Jurij was saying it's a good thing. He was basically saying the State is not bothered by spending other people's money. Which is the basic libertarian argument. When it's somebody else's money you're spending, it's easy and fun to be generous.

I think this is a fun product for kids all ages but no school will be able to buy any for that price. How many computers can you get for £900? How many swings, skipping ropes, basketball hoops? If they do invest in this they will be to scared for the cones to break to let the kids play with them on a regular basis. Good product, bad price!
Not all ages. Like 2-8 maybe.
@@GirlycarDawn My local science center has something similar. Everyone loves it.
@@ellenkarlsson9490 I would rather consider this for field sports training. May be valuable for reflex and variety.
Not very many. 900 dollars would be fair for everything you mentioned. Do you not realize how inefficient and horrible most school districts are? Nobody ever buys at the price they should. It's just like the military, having a blank check incentivises overpaying, and this guy knows it and is trying to take advantage (but the dragons aren't having it).
@@awesomeferret It seems like the people that supplied the materials to him for £480, minus the labour, have done exactly the same (hiked the price!).
I suspect that it wouldn't be too difficult to replicate his product with 4 traffic cones, 4 RGB LED rings, 4 - 5 arduino nano's (could probably do it with ATtiny85's even), some radios for the communication between cones and a few other inexpensive bits. I wonder if they ever got the business off the ground....

Having worked all my life in plastic processing machinery and tooling if he can get a tool made for that size of moulding, even in China he has got a bargain. If you understood injection moulding once he had paid for the tool he then has to pay for the machine time, energy, staff and profit to the manufacturer, The cost of a machine to produce such a mould will be over £1M. He took out the lights of an electronic game from the 80’s called Simon (you had to remember a sequence and repeat it ) and put them on the top of road cones .
After such dismal failure and waste of money i'm shocked by the outcome with the 2 Dragons here. i've just seen a video in which Duncan stood up for the smooth glove entrepreneur against Peter who said Apple would sue him, and then again Peter himself stood up for the Cadbury family guy because he didn't want him intimidated by the new fake Cadburys- on this and the Cadbury programme we see another dragon make a bid too once Peter has gone against the grain of other dragons' fears. I'm with Duncan on this one and the glove one, and Peter on the Cadbury one, except the Cadbury guy ended up going with a dragon who undercut Peter's offer (i would have preferred him to accept Peter's offer as Peter's heart was clearly in it and i think would have helped him more).
I've seen this one before. Have they uploaded all the clips and are starting back in a loop?
