There’s nothing like a bond between a horse and rider. I used to show before Covid and there was nothing me and my assigned horse couldn’t do together. If we didn’t place that was fine by me. In my book showing isn’t about getting prizes it’s about spending time with the horses
I love how your horses take care of their riders no matter who’s on them. They just want please who ever their rider is. Your students are amazing. Congratulations to all of them for a great show. 👍👍for their amazing owner too! ♥️🐴👍😃

I love how you manage your stable with a string of well handled/trained horses that your students, who for any number of reasons are not able to own their own horse/pony right now, can still get the thrill and experience of competition. And that you don't place any expectations on horses or riders; yes it's a competition, but at this stage it's mostly about having the opportunity and having FUN !🤩 Gotta luv the Jafar Stallion of the month act! He knows he looks good when he does that! So nice that you know your horses so well. The part about allowing it so he could just get on with things is excellent horsemanship

I'm up watching you not only train your horses but train your students that there's more to riding a horse there's a lot of work that goes into taking care of that horse and it looked to me like you have instilled that in your student which is so important

What a fun day 😃. Everyone did so well, it was really nice seeing your students out there learning and building even more confidence. Shae and Kyle, what a super show! Each of the horses are unique and so well behaved! Each moves to the "beat" of their different bodies. Jafar and Baghera have fascinating smoothness, especially Jafar. He hasn't found the right new home yet. But I'm sure he wouldn't mind being with your homies forever! Wahoo! 🤠🐎🐎🐎🐎❣

He’s bright, energetic, willing and well behaved He’s bold enough to be himself and remain listening to whomever is working with him under saddle with you, or on the ground. That was the epitome of give and take with horsemanship! 🙌🏼 🥰 It says a lot about you, Shae and how you teach while allowing Jafar to be himself! The experience alone is a win! Bravo!!! 😍

These are the best type of shows…smaller local shows where the horses and young equestrians get some good experience under their belt. All did beautifully ♥♥♥♥

Some of my favorite memories was going to the fairgrounds and sleeping in the stall with my horse and waking up with him laying next to me. Those were the days. I miss em.

So wish I had met someone like you when I was a teenager. I was horsemad but my mom was NOT! So I got into trouble instead. Riding teaches respect and discipline. I had to wait until I was 30 to ride.
Shows are fun! The most fun I had on Bongo was taking him to a Parade. Maybe you could do that with your horses and students.

Oh I would have loved the chance to be a girl in horse classes and shows! This was so sweet to watch. The girls all looked so professional and classic and they all seemed relaxed and confident in the spotlight.The horses were so well behaved and chill as well (pre show jitters are totally normal) Congratulations to you and your students and you're behind the scene helper, your husband. Oh wow, watching your crew brings back so many memories for me. I never showed ( I broke horses for riding) but had friends who did. This was over 40 yrs ago and so nice to see the shows are still goin on. Watching from Ontario Canada. Good Luck to everyone.

Happy birthday Piper! Piper and Jafar did amazing! Bagheera did very well for her age! Most horses around bagheera’s age ik have to be put on stall rest bc their too old but bagheera did amazing! So did everyone and I’m rly surprised how well Zazu did on those transitions!

I grew up going to this county fair. I always headed to the horse barn and did a walk around. So many good memories. LOL! I always entered sewing project and vegetables. Still sewing and gardening.

That was so fun to watch. Curious horses put their noses out the trailer window. Love that. Your students seem so nice. It's the best to go to schooling shows with your riding buddies & riding on nice horses is an extra bonus (they all looked so healthy). It all kind of melted my heart, especially seeing Jafar do a showy trot.

Gated horses are a blast to ride. We had one when I worked at a day camp. If the group that was slotted for say the 10 o'clock hour didn't show up us wranglers would take some horses off property to play hide and seek. We had bareback pads. I would ride the gated horse. We would have some much fun out there hiding amongst the trees and going on various trails, etc. Nothing like getting paid to ride horses all summer long. Sadly I don't remember the mare who was gated. She was wide and so easy to ride due to this. 😁

What a great time with the chosen horses and students. Everyone looked well and happy. Bottom line was enjoyment, support and bonding. Lovely to see the schooling and teaching techniques surface in the English Pleasure Class, as well as the English Equitation Class. All of the preparation and time coming together, really showcased Free Spirit Equestrian Farm beautifully.

That was really awesome. The horses looked great as did the students. It is always wonderful to have fun & learn with experience. But, it is even greater when you have a ribbon or 2, which I did see the students didn't come home empty handed. So proud of them❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊 !!

Ahhh this brings back so many happy memories for me that I had almost forgotten about.
I did a few western equitation and halter shows with my Bay gelding Storm in the mid 90’s when I was around 10 years old, and we won 1st place in equitation once. Stormy was such a good boy. He lived to be about 31 and my mom had had him since he was a colt ❤
