      @@JB_Auto . Hi, first of all, thank you for the great video! I also have a Mazda CX-3 and am experiencing a very similar problem. Unfortunately, the local dealers in Germany are only offering a full mirror replacement as a solution. Therefore, I would really like to get it repaired at your garage. Would that be possible? I would greatly appreciate your response.

    In one of your comments you state that the replacement motor is determined by VIN? I would expect those motors to be pretty common across model years.

    I've got this exact issue on a 2015 Mazda 3. I hardly ever use the folding ability and wondered if theres a quicker way of just disabling the motor? (I still want the flasher and electric mirror to work of course)

    • @JB_Auto
      @JB_Auto  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hi, I've been asked many times about that. The fastest way is to remove the connector from the folding motor. So, remove the mirror glass, and You should be able to reach the connector; if there is no access, remove the top garnish. You can do that without the removal of the whole mirror.

      On some models, you can reach that connector by removing the mirror glass like in the video, and on some models, you need to remove the garnish additionally( the garnish is that painted plastic part on top front part of the mirror). See also my other video related to Mazda 6 mirror motor replacement, which is 2012-2014 model, and similar to newer models, that might help you as well.
