  • In this video I demonstrate the three different rear passenger / cargo options of the Citroen Berlingo Multispace which are:
    1. Rear seats in place ready for passengers
    2. Rear seats folded out of the way ready for cargo
    3. Rear seats taken completely out of the vehicle.
    I also demonstrate how much room there is in the back, both for passengers and cargo, including putting my tape measure through the whole length of the car to show the length of items you can carry.

    Thanks Tim. We are about to get our first multi space and now I know we can get the surfboards in. Really useful. 👍

    A very useful review, thanks for posting. I really like the way you can just lift the rear seats out for full van mode - no removing of bolts. That is an excellent feature. Cheers.

      Yes it’s great. Not 100% sure but I’m sure I heard the newer ones than mine (current generation) you can’t do this with them.

    I have been looking at vans but what you get for your money, how most vans are treated and what you get with a Multispace, it’s a no brainier. Thanks for the very useful video. Cheers.

    Is there any chance you know the dimensions in mode 2? (Seats in but tipped) or with the seats removed to the lip of the footwell?
    I've got a trolley that I use for work that is 132cm in length and 98.5 cm in height. Just wondering if it would fit in the van with a fold up ramp of some sort?
    Thanks! 😊

    Thank you so much for your reviews. You are better than any car show on TV at the moment. Good on you!
    CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!! This car can be a family car AND near-enough a van. ...just one question: the model you have is an 'XL' you say... Is that the same size (or even the same vehicle) as a 'multi space'? I just try to figure out if there are Belingos of different sizes, or do they all count as Estates and all versions has in fact the same body size? I still can't believe it: 3 metre of SPACE.

      Thanks glad you find my videos useful. To answer your question, I believe you can get an XL version of the Berlingo, but mine is just the standard Multispace. I had 3 x 3m lengths of timber in it just the other day!

    Hi Tim. Can you do me a favour, please? When you have time, could you measure from the back of the front seat (pushed foreward as far as possible, but still upright) to the back door. I am just trying to figure out if I could get a 2 metre box into it... It's a box for my hang gliding equipment... Thanks for your help.

      I don’t know to be honest, although as the Multispaces and vans are basically the same vehicle, I’d guess it’s possible. Probably best to check with a main dealer or other Citroen specialist though.

    Hi, can you do another measurement, please. Can you measure the space from the back of the front seats till the tailgate. I need to carry some bicycle boxes that have 1.5m and 1.7m and I coun't find online if they would fit without the rear seats off. Thank you for your time.

      I also wonder what the measurement of the boot is from floor level - lower part back of seat when up to where the tailgate would be as want to know if an item i want in my boot when in 5 seat mode would fit. Thanks!

      Peter Jaro (above) asked the same question in a different manner, I've just realised, so that question has already been answered = 1850mm. Too late?

      I got the vehicle now thanks😃 and my item just fits in boot behind rear seats. Measurement i was after was the boot dimension in 5 seat mode. The place i bought it from let me check it fit first 👌🏻

    It’s a very useful video, this was exactly what I was looking for! Great, thanks a lot.
    I’m in for buying a Berlingo and want to transform it into a small campervan. Then I would definitely go for option 3, like you demonstrated.
    I do have a question about the dimensions. I’ve searched on the internet but couldn’t find the next two sizes:
    1) The dimensions/depth of the hole where the back seat normally is.
    2) The distance between the back of the front seat and the back of the car. (When the front seat is completely pushed back, so that you can sit well behind the wheel, because I am 197 cm tall.)
    I think it’s somewhere around 160 cm.
    I hope you can help me, thanks al lot!
    Kind regards,
    Toon

    • @baldytimsreviews8204
      @baldytimsreviews8204  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi Toon, the measurements you wanted are 1500mm from the front seat backs to the very rear of the vehicle load area (maybe slightly more) and the hole or footwell for the rear passengers is again 1500mm across which is the entire width of the vehicle interior. Also the whole width is totally flat with no transmission tunnel etc in the middle as you get in most cars, so very useful. The depth is around 150mm and front to back measurement is 300mm but obviously this varies depending on how far forward or back the front seats are set. Hope that helps.

    what mpg do you get on the motorway?

    • @baldytimsreviews8204
      @baldytimsreviews8204  Před 3 lety +2

      The strange thing with this vehicle is it doesn’t seem to make much difference whether you’re doing motorway driving or local as far a I can see. It seems to be the seasons that affect it more, getting 50-53 mpg in the summer and 44-46 in the winter regardless of what kind of journeys you do.
