I was at Gatorland last year and while I didn’t get to see and do everything given our time, I LOVED IT!! My favorite animals are crocodiles, and before that, my favorite animal was the American Alligator. So, I’ve seen alligators before, but when I went to Gatorland, I got to see Crocodiles for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE!! The very first crocodiles I’ve ever seen are the American Crocoidles, the small Cuban Crocodiles, the albino alligators, a water moccasins, emus, and last but not least, my jaw JUST DROPPED when I got to see a NILE CROCODILE! Yes, it’s the star of this video, Lyle! He is STILL the biggest crocodilian and crocodile I’ve ever seen!! I even got TO FEED ALLIGATORS!! That attraction alone unlocked something in me I never knew I had a passion for!! Feeding alligators and crocodiles food!! An employee was SO generous, that despite paying $5 for 3 fish(I think it was 3) he gave me 5-6! This time, I’m going to see the Nike crocodile exhibit, the saltwater crocodiles, and the Orinoco Crocodiles(which, coincidentally we’re arriving at Gatorland)when I went there. I even got to hold a Boa Constrictor!! Absolute FUN at Gatorland, and it’s a MUST COME for Crocodilian lovers like mysel!! I’m DEFINITELY coming back soon!! TWO THUMBS UP FOR THIS PLACE!!

Do you do crocodile conservation in the Philippines?
The Philippine crocodile (Crocodylus mindorensis) is one of the smallest crocodile species, and differs from others in several ways, including size, snout shape, and armor:
Size: Smaller than most crocodiles, males can grow up to 10 ft (3 m) long, while females are usually smaller. Saltwater crocodiles, in contrast, can grow to 20 ft (6 m) long.
Snout: Philippine crocodiles have a broad snout compared to other species.
Armor: They have heavy dorsal armor made of thick bone plates.
Color: Hatchlings are golden brown with dark stripes, and their color darkens as they age.
Teeth: They have up to 68 teeth that constantly fall out and are replaced.
Nest guarding: Both male and female Philippine crocodiles take turns guarding the nest, which is different from many other crocodilians.
The Philippine crocodile is globally endangered and evolutionary distinct, with an estimated lifespan of 70-80 years. A captive breeding program is in place to help save them from extinction, and about 50 have been released into the wild in the last decade
