    in final step, is the tangent line slope calculation mean to say f(x)dx /g(x) dx evaluated at c (not the derivatives) thank you

      It is indeed f'(x)dx/g'(x)dx evaluated at x=c.

    But this proof does not specify that c is inbetween a and b right? I found another one with rolled theorem that accounts for that unless im mistaken.

      Yes, since the parameter values (our curve is parametrized according to x) range between x=a and x=b, it follows naturally that the value of c lies between a and b as the curve is fully traversed by x increasing from a to b. Hope this clears things up!
