  • Eldon hole is around 80M in depth residing to the south west of castleton is the finest and deepest open to surface Pothole in the Peak District.
    There are multiple rigging routes down to the bottom and Eldon is even considered one of the seven wonders of the Peak District.
    Human remains that have subsequently been found here date from around 2100 - 2200 years ago.

    Peak Caving Club is a Derbyshire based caving club with members from all over the UK.
    Our community (now over 1000 strong and growing!) welcomes both new and experienced cavers providing opportunities to learn, share and enjoy the underground spaces beneath our feet safely.
    We host trips every weekend and plenty midweek around the Derbyshire area to keep our members busy.
    There's also regular trips throughout the year taking us to hotspot caving locations across the UK such as the Yorkshire Dales, Wales, the Mendips and many more.
