It’s just a different style that doesn’t rely on the cringe sounds, it makes it seem a lot less rigged in my opinion cause there aren’t like bad edits in the same way that American drag race has them.

Ok so I think the reason Ms. Paul hated this snatch game so much was that almost everyone who did bad also had some funny moments, so no one was super clearly awful (besides maybe Coco and Art). So they were like how tf do we pick a top and a bottom? besides anita everyone was like the same level of occasionally cringey and occasionally hilarious, so they just acted like everyone bombed.

i actually didnt think elektra had a bad performance.. but her look was definitely the weakest, so i get her not being safe with the other 3. anita killed it, she was so fucking funny. kita had a rough start but she managed to do a good job after a while and her look was great. etcetera had a really good performance and a safe look as well. im not mad at any of the placements, i think the judging has been really fair so far
i think they were a little harsh on them, etc deserved a high spot and kita scarlet and elektra could have been safe but they just wanted to read everyone hahaha
will never recover from Etcetera actually throwing an impeccable volley to Art with the "SOMEBODY CALL BINDI IRWIN" and she failed to return it in tremendous fashion

But as Queer people, we take the bad things in life and transform them in a way that they won’t hurt anymore, so I totally get the humor behind that character choice. Also, Elektra was hilarious, I don’t understand why she got no credit for her performance. Maybe no one was familiar with Moira but Elektra was great.
I think people just expected it to be on par with the UK ones, since Australian's have a similar type of humour to Brits. But it definitely wasn't up to that standard.

The legs was a good gag but I don't think her jokes landed (like saying someone should eat air lol what). Tayce and Bimini were the only ones I would consider golden but that's just me ^_^. I don't think this snatch game was like leaps and bounds above UK2 but I think most of them had a least one good joke in there, which is what pushed it over for me.

While I half-like the idea of doing Snatch Game early on, so everyone can participate, it feels less special getting it out of the way so soon. Additionally, the editing is suspect.

I agreed with the judges. Catherine O'Hara was very forced (as Moira Rose) and she often missed the inflections. Also, right from the start I was confused about why she said "pigeons", which made zero sense. If she had said "Crows" it would have been funny and made sense, as that is the movie Moira was known for "The CROWS Have Eyes" ...not Pigeons have eyes. Both myself and my husband (who are huge Schitt's Creek fans) cringed at Electra's version of Moira. Even the "KEVIN, KEVIN, KEVIN" was off and not that way Kat McAllister would have said it. It was a bad impersonation. She relied ONLY on the Moira Rose version of Catherine O'Hara, when she is iconic for SCTV, Beetlejuice, Home Alone, Christopher Guest movies, and of course Moira Rose. What would have been a clincher was if she had switched up Catherine O'Hara characters like we have seen others that have done so in the past. If you ever want to watch perfection as a drunk white lady, check out O'Hara as Sheila Albertson in Waiting for Guffman.

I don't think this snatch game was like leaps and bounds above UK2 but I think most of them had a least one good joke in there, which is what pushed it over for me.

While I half-like the idea of doing Snatch Game early on, so everyone can participate, it feels less special getting it out of the way so soon. Additionally, the editing is suspect.
Man I hate Lindy being boiled down to that. She was falsely imprisoned almost immediately after such a horrid thing happened, she had no time to grieve or process and all of a sudden she's being blamed for murdering her own child. Hell, my kitten recently got hurt pretty bad and I _sobbed_ and I'm still heartbroken over it, I cry thinking about when it happened, and I'm a dude who doesn't get all that teary. Imagine going through that but _permanent._ She never saw her baby again, it's so shitty that her unjust story is sweeped into "DINGOS GOT MY BABY!! OH MY GOD DINGOS!!!! DINGOS DINGOS DINGOS!!!!! The super shady edit: the judges tell Electra that her Catherine O’Hara was nothing like her, and they don’t understand the reference to Schitt’s Creek, but when Electra responds to Ru’s questions the background music changes to imitate the music from Schitt’s Creek...
I agreed with the judges. Catherine O'Hara was very forced (as Moira Rose) and she often missed the inflections. Also, right from the start I was confused about why she said "pigeons", which made zero sense. If she had said "Crows" it would have been funny and made sense, as that is the movie Moira was known for "The CROWS Have Eyes" ...not Pigeons have eyes. Both myself and my husband (who are huge Schitt's Creek fans) cringed at Electra's version of Moira. Even the "KEVIN, KEVIN, KEVIN" was off and not that way Kat McAllister would have said it.
It was a bad impersonation. She relied ONLY on the Moira Rose version of Catherine O'Hara, when she is iconic for SCTV, Beetlejuice, Home Alone, Christopher Guest movies, and of course Moira Rose. What would have been a clincher was if she had switched up Catherine O'Hara characters like we have seen others that have done so in the past. If you ever want to watch perfection as a drunk white lady, check out O'Hara as Sheila Albertson in Waiting for Guffman.
