It’s the couples who don’t expect to fight that fail. And the ones who don’t learn to fight fair. If you expect everything to be perfect all the time the pressure will do your relationship in.
Its hard to find someone you can spend 24/7, 365 with and syay sane. I have found this with my wife. Gets difficult at times, but i wouldn't change a thing.
I found your channel a few months ago and have binge watched almost all of the episodes! I lost my husband to cancer, it will be four years the day after Christmas. I have a son who is grown and in the Army and beginning his life. So I’ve have been thinking about moving into a van, camper, Skoolie or some kind of tiny house. You guys truly inspire me to want to do this even more so. I hope you 3 have a wonderful, safe and blessed Christmas!

I’m in Salt Lake with my two dogs looking to retire in February @age 66,very very active divorced guy,no children I know of,loves hiking ,cooking,travel,eager to learn how to fly fish and finally make life simple. Have done quite a few trips in Utah,Idaho and Wyoming. Found some absolutely gorgeous places. Would love to get some sought of caravan going for us well seasoned lifers/prospective nomads....you could always rent a rig for a couple of weeks...stay safe,stay well! There’s a huge supportive community out there.

quick tip: for shoes like that, try saddle grease (used to "wax" horse saddles), makes them pretty water proof and the leather nice and supple

Elsa, bless your heart, you need an "awl" for future moccasin repair. This from an old shoemaker's son. (I risk mansplaining here) Forget the needle n' thread thing. An awl is a cobbler's tool, (see google) basically a handle with a spike attached and a small barb(hook) at the end.Take 4 feet or so of heavy thread, and wax it up first. Push the awl through the shoe from the bottom, and hook the thread from inside the moc and pull it back down thru the bottom. Leave the two ends and all the thread on the other side. So now you have a loop. In the hole next to the loop, use the awl again, grab one of the loose ends, and pull the whole thing thru to the bottom. Now you should have a loop(just a couple inches) sticking out one of the holes in the sole, and a single strand a couple feet, coming out the hole next to it. And a single strand remaining on the upper side of the sole. Take the single strand next to the loop and feed it thru the loop. Close the loop tight by pulling on the strand above the sole, thats your first stitch. With your awl, at the next hole, poke up through the sole and hook another loop from the single strand above. Feed the lower strand thru the loop again and tug everything tight. Now you're sewing like a pro cobbler. Merry Christmas you three!

I met a guy back in the “70’s that had used dental floss to sew patches on his jeans - he had soo many patches, they looked awesome - said a guy offered over a $100 dollars to buy them off him. Not long after that, patch pants became real popular, but still weren’t the same caliber as this guys real ones. Hippies - who knew. Lol

I just found you on CZcams about a month ago. I have loved camping since I can remember anything. I've camped very place from Galveston beach, all of Texas, Arkansas & Colorado, in every thing from my Pinto station wagon, tents & pop-ups to a 31ft 5th wheel RV. I would love to camp again but I'm alone now & 72 years old. My favorite spot to camp was the Ouray, Silverton & Telluride areas of Colorado. I hope that since you are in Colorado so much that some day you will drive thru Ouray and film it so I can see it again. Love your videos. Keep the good shows coming. 🤠 true Texan Janice

For barrons moccasins you should get some glue and put a vibram sole on the bottom it will protect the threads and give him more grip. Then when he wears through them you can just swap the soles again
It's such a joy watching your channel. It is amazing how you and Barron can organize all that stuff in drawers and cubbies. I used to sew and would run my thread over solid bees wax to make it stronger for hand sewing. Glad you had a happy Christmas. I love giving a gift....but it doesn't have to be big... Maybe some nuts or dried fruits or nice smelling soap. Just something simple from one kind heart to the other.

When you sew/repair leather it is helpful to have a thimble to push the needle through the layers of leather etc. It was always my job to fix my dad's leather gloves when I was a kid so this is where I learned to do that.

New sub and new off grid camper liver ❤️husband and I (25yrs together )are empty nesters now, so we put everything into storage and moved our “toy hauler” out to the river ❤️I feel like I have the Taj Mahal now after seeing your cute ass lil scamp!! I can appreciate your organizational skills completely! If don’t mind askin, how do you all fund your life? My husband still drives to wherever his job site is, but I stay home and protect our land, supplies and animals. You all have such beautiful chemistry and I know 💯if you can make it in that scamp, you can make it a lifetime❤️🌈

Snow Candy! You must make it on a video. equal parts brown sugar, ghee (butter), cream (milk) melt butter w/ brown sugar. when it begins to bubble add cream bring to rolling boil. continue to cook to soft ball stage. add vanilla. keep warm while filling a baking dish w/ compact snow. drizzle spoons of candy in thin trails over the snow. fork and eat while candy is warm against cold snow! delish...

So I don’t know if anyone has ever asked or if you guys have covered this topic, but I ask this because I genuinely cared about the answer when I thought about it. So my ? Is- when one of you goes for a walk or run, or whatever with Kamp, and the other one stays behind do you take anything with you in terms of contact in an emergency situation ? Like flares , an emergency radio , or just a general plan you’d follow if one of you doesn’t return when expected? Like, something that would help you find one another in the event you went off the main route in to the camp spot, and were lost or injured? Like when Barron said Elsa left to take Kamp for a walk- I wondered what you would do if Kamp ran after an animal or something, and you went off after him and become lost or twisted your ankle ? Especially in the snow & below freezing temps? I hope you all are staying safe and warm out there! My family and I love watching your videos!

We have been downsizing for awhile and are now in our travel trailer. This Christmas we got something for each other. Of course something we need but nice enough to want. Merry Christmas
While I was "helping" to clean, it seemed to go faster with the soothing sounds of the violin (or perhaps cello) in the background.
Also I have a very delicious and simple recipe for you to try for cold nights! This can be with or without meat,
Ingredients:
. Onions
. Bell peppers
.cube steak(optional)
. Oil
.sazon(a Hispanic seasoning)
. Adobo
Slice both your bell peppers and onions and season with sazon and adobo
Set pot over medium high heat and cover with enough oil to cover the bottom, if you choose to have meat grab your cube steak and season both sides with your sason and adobo and throw in the bot to get some color. After about 2 mins throw in your bell peppers and onions and let cook down,
As the veggies break down it will release delicious juice and turn into a kind of stew, after the veggies are broken down serve as is or over rice!
