I've had 2 knee surgeries (pre bjj) and have been doing bjj for 7+ years and I use Asics "Slider" kneepads, they cost about $15, SUPER THICK. They're long so they don't slide too much which is nice. You can get them in black or white, not sure if they have any other colors.

Putting here in the hopes that someone sees it.
Which one of these would perform the best if I have to kneel on hard rocky ground?

Great video. Thank you. Have you tried the Shock Doctor Compression Knit Knee Sleeve with Gel Support? I would love to know your thoughts on it!

Very helpful highschool wrelster but I also play waterpolo and run cross country so I’ve decided that I need to start talking more precautions before I blow one of my kneees out

I think best are neenca knee brace and McDaniel hex knee sleeve

I love the hex pad from mcdavid but the longevity isn’t there, I’m a serious wrestler and practice 8 times a week for 2 or more hours sometimes plus meets and they only last me about 1-2 months before falling apart

so have you found another option that can withstand that kind of abuse better for comparable price?

can you fully bend your knee comfortably without resistance on the McDavids knee pad with gel insert?

In my opinion Volleyball Knee Pads work great.

My gym has hard floors. Would you recommend using knee pads to somewhat soften the contact of the knees or is it safe to place your knee against hardwood floor?? Thanks.

You would wreck your knees without kneepads

Can I ask what is wrong with your knees? I have this sharp needle like sting when I kneel or land on my knee it kind of stopped me from doing wrestling and jiu jitsu. I think it's cartilage damage haha

+Brett Rainville I have Osgood Schlatter disease on my right knee. I have had two minor surgeries on it. I have been using the Snap down knee pad for two months now and my knee feels great. Now I need a way to make my hands stop hurting.

Brett Rainville I have the same problem but I'm 13 and I thought I just bruised my bone at first but it's Been hurting for 3 years now but I thought my knees would not hurt so bad because I'm not older

Donuts are the best. The support they give is more, even with the padding. Complete padding across knee is a joke. The patella must fit properly.. Otherwise you are just pulling knee pads all day.
Flat knee pads with foam on front are a joke.
All the knee pads he reviewed are trash, except for the blue donut. That one actually looks really good.
The rest are not maybe for 'other people'. They are just trash knee guards.
There are cheaper versions of Bauerfeind type donuts with padding also.

The 1st mcdavids you showed are so tight around the thighs it's annoying. The rest of my leg fits fine but the band makes it bad since it's just shaped like a straight sleeve

No offense, but you have a bunch of C-B grade and priced products compared to Bauerfeind, an A+ product.
