- Godavari Movie. Sreeram (Sumanth) is a principled chap with an inclination towards politics. With an altruistic attitude he goes out of the way to help others. Seeta (Kamalinee Mukherjee) is a girl who does not want to confine to home and wants to live independently as an entrepreneur. Sreeram is seriously fascinated by his maradalu Raji (Neetu Chandra) and wants to marry her. But she feels that he is not her kind of guy. Raji's parents settle her marriage with an IPS officer (Kamal Kamaraju). Seeta meets Sreeram and his relatives on their boat journey from Rajahmundry to Bhadrachalam. The rest of the story is all about how Sreeram and Seeta realize how perfect they are to each other.

Lots of love from a kannada guy living in USA. This is one of the best Telugu movie I have seen and have watched it multiple times in past 10 years, never gets old. Divine songs with awesome lyrics. Kamalini's expressions and the voice over of Sunitha for Kamalini makes this movie worth it to watch over and over. Simple yet heart touching movie !!!

Though I am from North India and came across Sekar Kammula and Selvaraghavan's work amazing work quite late. I think Sekhar is one of the finest directors in the country. His work in Godavari, Happy Days and Anand is simply astonishing. His command over the slice of life genre is at par with the great Spielberg.

Iam from karnataka, i see this movie more than 20 times.
One of my favourite movies forever and ever. Don't know how much time I watched it, still it looks fresh with its dialogues, music, characters, location and many more..... If I start talking about this film I can't stop. We may feel that its just an amazing beautiful matured love story, but I think it is above all these. Godavari is not just a love story, but its the life of all the characters in the film. The characters Ram, Sita and all other characters will remain in our mind forever. Each and every characters are made with atmost perfection. I thank Shekar gaaru for making this film for us. I love all his films. But Godavari is more special.
This is the first time I am writing this much about a movie, but I don't know still I can't stop..... since I am from kerala none of my friends have watched this film, so I suggest it to all my friends to watch it so that they won't miss a classic movie.
