Travelling accross the UK in our tiny floating home!
This week we travel around 18 miles over 2 days. From Rugeley we travel north to Great Hayward, taking the junction here we then head south down the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal (a new stretch for us to explore!). Stopping at Tixal Wide for the night, the next morning we take a long cruise and get past Penkridge and stop at Gailey. The weather is brilliant again and although the locks are sometimes hard work we cruise through beautiful countryside and enjoy every minute!

If I ever feel anxious or fed up about something, all I have to do is watch your video and life feels great again. Calm and peaceful comes to mind. A superb video, following you onto the Staffs & Worcester Canal - I cruised this in May 1972! It's still as beautiful as it was 50 years ago. We hired a boat from Anglo Welsh at Great Hayward Junction.

That is a very kind thing to say. Yes meeting him was a bit emotional for me, it is so incredibly rare to meet someone committed to a pure cause like that and being awake, he was gobsmacked by the way the world is and was looking for other truth seekers and a better world I think. He reminded me of myself I guess, but I have never travelled alone like that. My answer to his question would be, yes there is no perfect situation here, but there is much, much beauty, and we are all learning and growing every day. A friend mentioned the term trippy troubadour, I think I fit that category. take care Benny
I love the way that you can use the abundance of the hedgerows as you go along. I live on the edge of a very large estate but luckily I can walk out into the countryside within 10 mins of me. I pick cherries, blackberries, apples, elder flowers and elderberries. How lucky and blessed we are.

23:12 the foam is phosphate because of over use of fertilizers , residue foam also contains fire retardants but no getting away from it only seen one sewer leak since been watching actually quite impressive people . keep on keeping on

Looks a lovely stretch of canal on my bucket list to canoe down one day 😊
You guys should mount a trolling motor on the front of the Boat and use it as a bow thruster. You could use a old boat battery to run it and charge it with you existing electric system. I know the Narrow Boats are heavy but you would only be moving the weight a small distance when in tight spots.

I was 10 years old to 18 when I lived in Stafford. It was great seeing the places I used to ride my bicycle. There is a bubble of love on your boat and it goes everywhere with you. I was a young teenager in the 1960's. You would have loved the years of love.

It's so good to see the Staffs & Worcs on a vlog as it's my local canal, living as I do in Wombourne, as it does indeed pass through some lovely countryside. I often take my naughty little Lakeland Terrier Quorra walking along the towpath, sometimes to Botterham locks or The Bratch, depending on which way she wants to go!.
You both seem such a natural couple and are clearly very comfortable and at home in your lifestyle, and I love how Alan is so laid-back as to be almost horizontal!.

Hi you guys, many years ago I left Britain to return to the USA. I used to live in Lancashire and now live in Arizona. Here I became a horse gal and live in the desert with my horses. I missed Glasson dock and NW coastal area and the Lake District. I spent many years there. I always had a nostalgic emptiness as I fondly remember my youth.
