Wow! One thing I didn't notice is that you can charge the Akaso using the USB cord. That's very effective. Especially when travelling long distance. For example I'm from Toronto and travelling to Ottawa, I can just bring my power bank and the cord rather than bringing the charging box which can be a hassle. Other than that, Great video!

Thanks for the review!!! I am always happy to see your review of these lower cost action cameras. I love them because I do not feel back when I damage them or lose them down a mountian. But I agree I am tired of micro charging ports. My action cameras are the last Items i use with micro. I don't think I will by another one until I start seeing good ones with type C. I love your reviews! Personally i didn't like the 1080p... In your opinion, which "budget" action cam has the best effective resolution at 1080p? (In addition to the GoPro) Thank you!
For anyone interested, the night shots are much better with stabilization off and can boost the EV. Now if I could just find a setting for mic volume. :(

Finally a full review of the much awaited Brave7 LE
+ front facing screen is usable for vlogging*, selfie and/or group shots
+ water resistant feature would come in handy during unexpected rains and water splashes
- audio from the built-in mic is worst that I expected, totally unusable outdoor (I hope an external mic can be used to fix it)
- video quality is below expectation therefore;
I look forward for a head-to-head comparison between the Brave7LE and the Brave6Plus (and V50Pro)

Regarding the attachments - is it possible to wear it on the wrist? Does it have to go in the waterproof case for that - the only connector I see underneath the main unit is the screw mount.

Nice review for also brave 7. I had also a video showing some issues, maybe it was an isolated case but you must check out first before you buy.
Alex, thanks for the video. You videos are now my go-to to figure for lots of products. I recently got an Akaso 7 LE but I'm not really impressed with the EIS. How would you compare this against the DJI Osmo Action?
Dji osmo action is way better than akaso or any of the likes of akaso.

I just ordered one to start making youtube videos with and i was on the fence at first. I went with the brave 7 because i wanted an alternative to the gopro overheating problem. We will see how it does when i make my first video with the brave 7
Out of all the Akaso cameras which one would you say is best bang for the money. This one, the upcoming Brave 7, or 50 Elite?

Seems like when any company making action cameras tries to keep the costs way down there is always compromises when it comes to the features. Add the extra screen and water resistance, and lessen the image quality and stabilization.
And it’s so frustrating! Just make a great camera with all the features. Or get a GoPro
I know... It would have been ok to exclude that front screen and give better video quality...

It may be tough finding that brave 6 plus. I think that would be cheaper and better
USB 'charging' port can also be used to connect the camera to your computer as a webcam, or to transfer photos or movies from the camera to the computer, without having to pull the SD card out.

Hmmm... If you can find a Yi 4K+...that will be the best video quality...if not maybe the Akaso Brave 6 Plus

Great review as always. Put a thin piece of porous foam over the microphone to act like a microphone wind sock. Shouldn't affect the audio very much. Thanks

Hi, yes it does at that resolution. They have a new camera coming out in the near future, so you may want to wait a couple of weeks and see if that one is better than this one. I should get one before it gets released and I'll make a video for it

How do you you use this action camera without the case on all the “two prong” GoPro accessories? I bought this camera but I feel like I’m hostage to always use the waterproof case.
just got it your quality always looks better in 4k then mine I have eis on and 4k 30 fps and it's a sunny day mhh
it may have to do with your video editor and how you export it. I always take the sd card out of the camera and save the recordings on the computer
@@RedskullPro i hook the usb cable it came with to the computer and the camera footage shows up in photos, so your saying I should take the sd card out and then see the footage?
Thank you... I'm also using the same camera the only problem is the sound especially if you are outside. likewise, at night is has no good quality too.
Twice I bought an external mic but nothing is compatible.
Yet, video quality and water proofing are superb.
Supposedly only Akaso external microphones work with it

How is it that the 7LE is not able to play back on the camera at higher speeds the way even the EK7000 could? I thought I just didn't know how to do it, but I haven't seen any way to do it. Why was something as basic as that omitted?
Which one is better the brave LE or V50 pro SE?
Any idea why there's a Quality setting (High, Medium, Low) when there's already a Resolution setting?

new to this action camming . i have a akaso brave 7le and was wondering if i can use a 128 gb card ,say it only needs a 64 with the 128 might cause slowing the camera down ,have you ever used that 128 .i just want to have that doubled size but don't want any problems .will an A1 or A2 make a difference in the camera ,what is fat32 and xfat going to use the camera for video quadding .i know it is not the best camera but thought it would fit the bill . thx for viewing my inquiries
