Im not upset about the people who ignore and keep walking. In many ways, Interstellar is not about "time travel" but about the tragedy and beauty of the time we have. It is fitting that we see this dichotomy in the video, of some people so focused on the future they cant acknowledge the masterpiece being performed, and others who are in the present, putting off the future for just a few short minutes to appreciate it. Its the soundtrack of the duality of mankind. Hope anyone reading this has a great day of pleasant surprises, if you are present enough to see it 😊
Dude this made me tear up you are absolutely right I try to explain this movie to a lot of people but they don’t see it. Its worrying about tomorrow when today is rapidly flying by and when you get to to tomorrow you long for the moments that flew bye wishing for a mechanism to catch even a faint feeling of what was misssed.

It blows my mind that 99% of everyone just kept walking and paid no attention to such incredible talent and artistry. I can remember many years ago when I lived in New York City that I used to stop to listen to someone play or perform music down in the subway stations. I'll never forget this one young girl who used to set herself up by the S-Train with her small beat up Casio keyboard and my god she played with such talent. I used to make a point to look for her whenever I was near that area and give her some change. She mainly played classical and I remember her playing a lot of Chopin (just like Peter, here). I never spoke to her but always did look for her. Wonder if she ever made it to Carnegie Hall.
I like to stop and watch when people play. Not at an airport when I need to catch a plane though or at a train station when I can barely make it to my next train. Stop shaming people like that

I don't know why but these public performances resonate with me so much more. Perhaps because it's how music is meant to be played - in front of people, out in the open. Sure, recorded videos at home are still great and serve their own purpose, but they just don't have the same excitement as a live performance. This was fantastic.
I think I would miss my plane just to hug this guy and say THANK YOU! Can´t believe the world we are living in... so many people ignoring and just walking by, hurrying or talking on their phones. I'm glad I have ears and I feel gratitude for my sensitivity. I’m fortunate enough to love these kinds of gifts, we all have. Thank you, Peter.

I so wish this performance had been captured with the same cameras as in his other “live” videos. This is a masterpiece, musically better than his original/studio version IMHO.
Very few places, outside of NASA, is such an excellent rendition of the Interstellar theme more apropos. An airport is a temple to human ingenuity and a testament to the adventurous spirit of our species. The Interstellar theme, as played so expertly by Peter, is the perfect song to pay tribute to this achievement.
I physically would be unable to walk by this. I can’t believe people don’t stop to appreciate such fucking beautiful things. So absurd to me! I feel every video deep in my chest and soul. It’s absolutely mesmerizing.

I was sadden by that level of apathy as well. To be fair, many people are in a rush in a typical airport to catch flights, and don't have the time to revel in the instrumental mastery of someone like Peter. However, putting that aside, I also think a contributing factor as to why so many people don't appreciate musical virtuosity has to do with the fact that people have been robbed of a sense of what really good and highly skilled music sounds like. In a world inundated by hip-hop, auto-tune, and pop music that wants to emulate the simplicity of hip-hop, it becomes difficult for many to appreciate the splendor of this technically sophisticated playing.

I thought the same thing… All those people just walking by, for a while it looked like noone was gonna stop and listen. If I knew he was playing at my AirPort I would gladly take the 45 minute drive to hear just the one song.

I'm French and a little disappointed that so few people stop to listen to it! We are in an airport: people are in less of a hurry than in a station hall because they have to arrive well before their plane takes off. And yet, they don't take the time to listen to an artist. Obviously you don't have to stop and listen if you don't want to... but the fact that most people don't stop is sad (and your excuse that no one has 3 minutes to "waste" because they have to catch a flight, is just unrealistic).
PS: It doesn't matter about the song, but about the talent of the artist... but clearly, you can't take it, it's a shame for you.

We are in an airport: people are in less of a hurry than in a station hall because they have to arrive well before their plane takes off. And yet, they don't take the time to listen to an artist. From the moment they don't pay for their ticket, they don't stop, which is very sad!
