They really always do! I have two rare diseases in my lungs and Becuz of the antibiotics coming from Switzerland and being so harsh, Almost every memory from before I was like 25, is now gone! However, one of my favorite teachers from elementary school, it seems like I will Never forget her! ❤
Just so you know, I’m 23 and I still remember my first grade teacher who was such an Angel to me. Anytime I would go visit her through the years she still kept a keychain I gave her when I was 6, trust me they will remember you thank you for being so kind and teaching them😭❤️
When you leave such a special mark behind on these kiddos... they remember it forever! Best believe they'll never forget you and will be back to say hello! I know I have a handful I will never ever forget and hold a special place in my heart forever! 🫶🥹
My elementary school had a open house BBQ for former and past teachers and students. I’m in high school and I really wanted to go see the ‘old’ school because they’re in the process of building a new one. The school I went to for 7 years will be gone within the next couple years or less. I got pictures of the school. I took some pictures in the my kindergarten classroom and was glad to see it was still the same teacher. It looked so close to how I remembered it, I pointed out to my mom and sis how some thing moved, but the shelves were the same and very similar layout. Later on I had noticed her at the hotdog stand among other teachers I didn’t recognize. I walked over and said her name, she immediately recognized me! Then she gave me a hug! We were talking for a few minutes and she said that the EA that helped me with my speech impediment (and was always around throughout my k-6 years) had retired, but they still talk about me and how kind I was. I was holding back tears while talking with her and then I did cry a little when I went back to my mom out of sight. She was one of my favourite teachers, and she always said hi to me in the halls all throughout elementary. It was very emotional for both of us, despite only being maybe 5 minutes. Then I also seen my former gym teacher. I walked over and said hi calling her by name. It took a second but she remembered my name as well! She laughed a little when I told her walking in the gym for the first time in years brought back memories. The gym still smells like rubber dodgeballs, something I didn’t even know I remembered til I entered the gym. They will remember you! And I’m sure you’ll remember them! I used to doubt how well teachers remember students, but three teachers I ran into still remembered me (the one I didn’t mention was my kindergarten teachers brother in law, my fifth grade teacher. I was in his last class before he retired. He was one of my favourite teachers. I didn’t get to talk with him for very long at all because he was busy running on of the stands, but we talked for maybe a minute).
My heart 🥺🩷 When they become high-school seniors I’m sure they will always remember you as one of their favorite teachers. Your joy for teaching is something that should be recognized ❤️ I absolutely love your dress!!
Awww. I know how you feel. I am a preschool teacher and nearly cried at preschool graduation. I love those kids to death! Sixteen of my twenty students are graduating or leaving to go to a different preschool, and it’s so sad to think that I won’t have them for much longer! I’ve already had to say goodbye to five of them. 😢

Your students/your kids are so blessed to have such an amazing teacher you had a big impact on them and hopefully they move on to there next teacher and use some of the things u taught them and spread all of the positive u shared with them ❤

I find it so wholesome and sweet how much of a connection you have with your students. Idk why but I barely remember any of my teachers, especially before high school, and most of them were really nice and good. It’s amazing how some people remember down to the name. Even my hs teachers I’m starting to forget and I’m only 28 😩

I wish my kindergarten teacher was like this. She got really mad at me for forgetting about some work because I was sick for a couple days I was sick and four weight know I was five but still.
It’s OK that’s how life goes and also I want to be a fourth grader teacher, and I hope that will happen one day and i’m gonna be sad because my fourth graders will graduate to fifth grade

Love this When I finished any grade 8n elementary I would cry on the last day of school. Even though I would be back next year But 5 th grade I cried so hard I knew I wasn’t going back 6th grade then came to a end and I was literally skipping with joy Middle school sucked so bad
