There was something magical about Season 1, but I can't exactly put my finger on it. I can rewatch it many times over and enjoy it every time.
Season 1 was much more better than Season 2...More interesting, strong and the more dramatic.
Daphne and Simon totally ate the spot on Season 1. At first you think "ok so they pretend to be courting while they actually fall in love with each other and will be live happily forever" , wrong. I'd say the true story of the Duke and the Duchess began after they got married. We see Daphne is completely ignorant about marital issues and that being a duchess has more weight than she expected, while Simon has to deal with his inner struggle of keeping his vow of not having a family as a vendetta to his deceased father or choose to be happy but he doesn't know what to do
In season 2, Anthony and Kate did have great moments but not even close of Daphne and Simon's. While Anthony had to fought to choose to be happy or do his responsability, Kate was practically a rock compared to someone like Simon
@@nicolasdiez7688 I hate how people pretend that Kate and Anthony had more chemistry just coz it took them longer to have secks😂 PLEASE, Simon and Daphne made me believe in love
@@acceptinglife6491 yeah, and that's because it wasn't quick, their relationship was slowly being built since episode 1, besides they had something Anthony and Kate didn't, they at first pretended to be courting so both could get what they wanted: Daphne wanted to have many suitors available so she could choose one and marry out of love, while Simon wanted to stop being chased by all those young lady's mothers and be free. And the best is Daphne fell in love of Simon as a person, not as a duke who could provide and gave her a live of titles and luxuries, same with Simon who knew Daphne deeper than the rest of her suitors (who only wanted to court her because of her beauty and being the diamond)

Excellent, Excellent job. There really aren't words to give this film the credit it deserves .
Season 1 was great..but also because it was new to us. So it would appear that season one was better. I think overall .. this is a very well written, and acted out series . Part 1an2 are fabulous
Season 2 can't beat Season 1!
