Sanxi Dragonboat Festival | 三溪村夜赛龙舟

Whilst Dragonbaot festival (端午节) is celebrated throughout China, as with many other Chinese traditions, the people of Fujian (福建省) celebrate it more than most. One of the biggest events in Fuzhou (福州市) takes place in the village of Sanxi (三溪村). People flock to the normally peaceful village, every evening for a week, to see dragonboat "races" (龙舟赛), which are more about having fun than any real result.
