Newcastle actually makes perfect sense with the sword. The thing you give up with the sword is cover, which newcastle has mobile cover literally anywhere and being fortified makes it even better. Then the fact that you can hit people from the other side just makes it actually busted

Buster sword is busted. Not even considering to I stall apex ever again. Its just power creep and movement for seasons and still never a major game change happend.
I'm pretty sure the sword is not a permanent addition to the game, and is just here for a couple of weeks (for the Final Fantasy event).
