- I share my experience of purchasing an Audi A6 C6 from a Co-part auction. This was my first time buying from an auction and it was quite an adventure. The car looked good on the outside, but had several hidden issues that caught me off guard.
To start, the car had water in it due to it having mud in the drain holes, and it had several electrical issues rendering the car impossible to pass an MOT. As a non-professional mechanic, I was apprehensive about tackling these problems, but I used them as a DIY challenge.
In this video, I'll share with you the steps I took to mend the concerns with the Audi a6 avant. From draining the water to fixing the faulty electrics. I'll take you through the steps to my restoration process. Furthermore, I'll demonstrate how I cleaned and renewed the car's interior.

Sick video, for the different shades its because even though you used the paint code theirs probably 5+ different shades of that code which is why your having that problem.

All it needs once damaged repaired is a good valet.

no the drains are under the battery/booster
The drains are where I said they are in the video. I saw it with my own eyes. The battery is in the boot next to the spare wheel, no drain holes there…
Also after cleaning out the drain hole under the scuttle
Panel I no longer have water in the car. It’s a known issue on the a6 c6 they get clogged with leaves. Maybe on other models like the a4 where the battery is in a different place.
