Giant Scale Mig-15 Flight -- Top Gun Invitational 2018

- There were a few Mig-15s at Top Gun, but this one was the largest and by far my favorite. It had all the right details and had a very convincing painted metallic finish that looked much like natural metal. Unfortunately, I'm unsure of the make of the design, but the model was built by the master Phil Noel of www.pinnacleavi... and flown by Rei Gonzalez, the jet flew wonderfully! They finished 3rd in the team class.

Yeah, this mig was gorgeous. There was a BVM one there that had been covered in flight metal that was really nice too, but this one was my fave of the Migs. :)

The mig 15 always looked like someone took the nose off to work on something on the plane especially when it’s sitting on the ground . That’s why the f86 Sabre is a cooler looking plane even though the mig was faster and heavier armed then the f86 .

imagine a real scale rc
Was there a strong crosswind upon takeoff and Landing that day?
Crosswinds were kind of the order of the day for the two days I was there. Made things pretty challenging.
does it use fuel?
This use fuel as its powered by a micro turbojet engine.
A friend found this model in a dumpsters a few days ago its in rough shape the tail broke but all electronics were there should i rebuild it is it worth anything

Great model, great flying and vid. Shame about the lawn-mower sounds in the background ;)
Unfortunately I had no control over the gassers in the background. :( They were running 5 flight lines during the course of the competition. I am looking at trying a more directional mic to see what that does to help remove that. Just won't give the full immersive stereo sound.
