  • Let's get rid of some ants!
You can find a lot of recommendations on how to get rid of ants.
Everyone has an ant bait recipe, but not often do they take the time to show you how to apply the bait.
I don't believe in chemical poison so this is my preferred method and it works.
Red ants, Black ants, Carpenter ants, I've tested this on all of them over the years.
Follow the instructions in the video. Use either regular white or icing sugar.
I only had brown sugar while filming so that's what I used
On really hot days icing sugar dries out quicker and gets hard faster. White sugar takes longer to crystallize so it's best for extreme heat.
Make sure you are accurate in measuring your Borax. Too much and they won't eat it.
Try not to place your bait when it's too hot. Early morning is best. Ants are less active during extreme heat. Especially on concrete.
Really important... Do this regularly until the ants are dead. One or two times won't do the job.
If you can't put it on concrete then make tinfoil trays or use empty bottle caps.
Put the bait anywhere that you have ant traffic.
Spray with a water bottle every few hours to keep it palatable for the ants. If it gets too hard they won't touch it.
Yes, you certainly can buy different kinds of poison to do the trick.
    The question is, should you?
