- Today we finish planting hour outside field With the Vegetables we had in the greenhouse. We were using a water wheel transplanter to plant all the plants. We planted 600 tomato plants 300 peppers and lot of eggplant in squashes. We lay down the plastic molds stand a drip irrigation with the mulch layer. I also made a red necked engineering version of a irrigation pump!!

The squeeking sounds musical. Will be transplanting our veggies soon on my father in law's homemade water wheel.

🤦♂️🤦♂️
Do more videos like this working with dirt and working with plumbing entertaining
Symmetry in the lines looks great!
The man is a pro!!
👍👍👍👍
Awesome setup, I’m hoping to have something similar in the next few years at my place here in the south.
You’re doing great bro. Just keep doing what you’re doing man 🙏🏼
You got it! 👍👍
Set your drip tape pipe down lower, iso it’s 2 inches subsurface. Tip your layer back further and the disks will cover better.
Love it!!!!!
Thanks bro!!
Wow
That's very cool
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🏼
👍👍👍👍
💪💪💪
Nice work!!, What is the attachment that you used to loose the soil?
Hey man I'm stsrting a 2 acre farm of my own hwre in a few months and would love some pointers maboe you can make a video or even revisit the topic with the knowledge you have now. And btw I never seen a transplanter play thw bagpipes😂
I know it has been a couple of years, but watching you guys plant never gets tiring to watch. When do you start your seeds? where do you start them? and what is your process and timeline for starting your seeds? This is always the area that I can never get right and I am not planting on anywhere near the scale you guys are planting. I only have about a little more than a half-acre (the whole property is 1.75 acres) and I have only been gardening a small corner of that so far. I am planning on a much larger garden in 2022 and so I am already making plans now for that and could use all the advice you can give. Thank you so much for all your videos.

Is the Plastic Mulch, a one time use equipment?
Or can one use the same mulch for multiple cultivation cycles?
I use black plastic. Is the white better?
yup thats right, put kim to work right now, lol
Who's Kim?
@@farmerdre1 idk, a character i made up that works on ur farm
I want to do tomatoes as well but I want a transplanter that can get them like 8 inches deep.
What reason do you run white plastic instead of black plastic.
The soil temp is hot enough and the white reflects the light to the plant and makes it grow more!!
How hot does ur soil.get
Its called a pump house
👍👍👍
Damn, Use some pvc with that glue. lol
How often do you have to water and fertilizer when you using the plastic mulch layer?
We fertilizer once a week! We put in a our 1 in of water a weeks as well. That's 3 or 4 watering times
Overall, how did the tomatoes do on white plastic? We only use white plastic for squash. The white sure seems to "deter" the squash beetles a lot. As for our tomatoes, the black plastic seemed to kick ass a lot. We installed 4.5 miles of plastic and t-tape this year.
That's alot of plastic mulch! The tomatoes yielded very well on the white plastic. Lot more than I expected.
@@farmerdre1 , good deal! We will continue to use the white for our winter squash, onions, etc. I do wanna try it out on our zucchini next year. One way to find out if it works, you gotta try it. We get most of our stuff through Rain Flo out of Pennsylvania. The white is a little spendy.
Wow 1200 plants pr hour i need one we have a small farm and parents are still all for 10 of us on hands and knees any reason y we wouldent want to invest in one of thease
How did you avoid hitting the drip tape when you were planting?
I have a video on planting. We place the drip tape off-center when we lay down the plastic. Then we plant down the center!!
Thank you for the answer to my question @farmer Dre. My drip tape was resting just under the mulch also. I think ideally it would have been in the center of the bed under the dirt. I wondered how the water wheel would work with drip irrigation in either scenario. Happy Farming!!
Are these organic tomatoes and Veggies ?
We are growing to try our best but is we need to spray I will.

What is the name of that planter tool for the tractor?
Its called a Rain Flow water wheel transplanter!!
I swear at 2:25 it sounded like bag
pipes!
Your bouncing around is making me seasick! And you could talk a little slower too...
I'll try to be more stable. Sorry
