Scru Face Jean I’m pro gun but not triggered. It still a conversation that needs to be had while still keeping the rights intact also. Just look at both sides of the gov right now. We need to be able to protect ourselves from it but we need to find a way to stop the senseless killing. When he says, "Thats a lot of shots huh?" in the background you can hear him say "Double Entendres", as if he's hinting where the song is going. Also if you listen to the songs in order, at the end of "Godzilla" he jokes, "Look what im plannin." and that leads into "Darkness" a song about a man planning a mass shooting.. Em is not a rapper, he's an artist.

He's always kept true to himself and expressed his opinions, regardless of whether his fans agree with them or not. He knows that having the courage to speak his mind is worth more than all the money in the world, and it's one of the many reasons he'll go down in history as one of the greatest.

Em's pen has always been on another level, he was rhyming quality metaphors as good or better than this on "Walk on water", but that got overlooked due to the commerciality of the record.
That was the majority of revivals problem. The lyrics were decent but production and features ruined it.

This is one of my favorite reactions from you because your eyes said it all. Going into it it sounded like a normal Em motivational song, which on one hand it is but not in the same way we thought at first . You started off in normal Scru fashion with the energy, one you heard the beginning and realized its not what you thought it was gonna be like. After that you started listening because you know how Em is. His story telling is 2K Hall of Fame level. It took you on a journey of his life and the killers life and the way he put it together you won't catch it at first until close to the end. When it clicked, your whole demeanor change and and your mindset changed. Its dope to me because even though I seen other reactions, it felt like I didn't hear it and I was on the journey with you. That's how I knew you didn't hear it before hand. Your real emotions bleed through. That was so dope. I felt it from start to finish and it was real.

This song is like a gut punch. It gets everybody bobbing to it, thinking Em is just doing his usual crazy wordplay and leads you right down into that moment where it hits you that he's talking about THAT thing. Almost everybody has the same reaction - stunned. This is a conversation that we need to have and stop putting it off.
What we're doing is not working. It's time to try something else, people.
I don't care what part of the political spectrum you fall into - if this sort of thing doesn't hit you and make you think about how fucked up we are, I don't know what's wrong with you.
Only Eminem could bring us something like this. He's using his platform to bring us the shit we NEED to hear, not necessarily what we want it to be. He's willing to absorb all the hate, the naysayers, the critics - because he thinks it's important enough to get us talking about it.
Think about how much this issue must effect Eminem for him to launch his album with this single. Out of all the fire songs on this new album, he picked this one. I think people tend to forget that Eminem lost his best friend to gun violence. I guarantee you that he didn't enjoy writing this song. It probably tore at his heart, but he put that pain through his pen and left us with an absolute legendary track.

I am an em fan. I don’t agree with the message he is pushing here, BUT despite that this is still a masterpiece. This could be Stan 2.0. The fact that the entire song is a double entendre. He didn’t waste a single word anywhere. He managed to write two songs in one using the same words for both songs. It’s absolutely mind blowing. This new album is nothing but pills and booze and it makes you wonder if he fell off. But if he did fall off the wagon that is the secret to shady. Unfortunately people automatically respond with emotion and with a understandable reason, but at the same time, it's not a issue that can be fixed by letting gov, police, terrorists (aka, anyone who can get through the Mexican boarder, not talking about Hispanics, though gangs and illegal crossing is an issue also) and those who have guns or can acquire them without going through a typical store; also can make guns and be trafficked to. Not to mention the reality that many of these shootings, if you really pay attention and learn from Certain people who understand how police response works, how forensics, media, and all off this stuff often gets weaponized by certain behind the scenes operations, to push for totalitarianism and ultimately a real, modern day actualization of the holocaust, then people would see the horror of a shooting much mote regularly. States who have more lax gun laws and typically less government interference, have less social, economic, and violence issues. I love eminem music, I think he's a good dude, and respect his talent and hope for his health and that he can keep putting out music, but I also cant agree with the message,i really hope it's not implanted propoganda he's required to put out for his label and comes fron his own frame of mind, can't fault someone for seeing things differently, but speaking for the behalf of someone else for your oen3 success is not acceptable. I think his views on guns come from him and hope so, I respect that much more.
