I just use a katana. You can actually block and do a ton of damage to him that way

I wish they'd replaced thugs in the city with Go-Ryu men by the time we reach that chapter to make it feel more like Go-Ryu is invading, because the effect of the invasion is kinda underwhelming imo.

I was mixed on some of the new music in Kiwami 2 but MAN did this entire 3 part long battle blow me away.

this game left me with so many feeling and I keep thinking about it .......just epic I hope they can match this kind of greatness in long battles and boss fights (ryuji) in the new games

I can tell you either didn't play the game or you skipped all the cutscenes
Remember earlier in the game when Kiryu got tired for no reason and Ryuji was like “I don’t wanna kill Kiryu if he’s tired because then I’m not like actually beating him” or whatever how exactly is Kiryu fighting an army before you’re fight overcoming him properly not that it matters because Kiryu proceeds to win the fight without a ton of effort gets shot twice fights more dudes and then beats Ryuji again
He was injured before meeting Ryuji at that point in the story.
He got stabbed and was still recovering while fighting the 2 tigers
One Thing i Like About this game is that the heat bar recovers more quickly than KIWAMI 1
Does Kamarocho Hills EVER get finished? Bc throughout the series it's always in construction.

Kiwami 2 takes place in 2006 and Kamurocho hills is finished in 2012 (yakuza 5) 6 years later

This was my favorite part in Yakuza Kiwami 2. And it's way better than Yakuza Kiwami 1. And the music sounds like it should be on Tekken 7. First half, he fights them through Kamurocho and second half, he fights them up in Kamurocho Hills.
Compare this to Mob fight of Kiwami bruh, they changed nothing. Plus get over it 7 times man

What's with the (formerly known as) Essence of Head Bashing in this one? I can't figure out the circumstances that I need to do it. I've done it randomly a couple times and it's not listed among the other heat moves.
You need to be at full HP.
How do you activate the heat move at 7:41? Every time I attempt it, the prompt doesn't show up.
You need to press circle again after doing that grab and then triangle will show up. This heat action confused me in the Japanese release of 6 too, so it was only after playing English 6 that I figured it out.
Quite late to it, but what is this long battle theme? I thought it was "The Raid" but that's with the ninjas and samurai... Any help?

Dumb question but there isn't the other fight styles like in Yakuza 0 and kiwami 1 in this game?? It's seems to me this gameplay only shows one single fight style so is this a unique style in the whole game?

I think they merged all those styles into one unique dragon of dojima style

legend mode on kiwami 2 is super easy I think
because you could carry skills over, and the ability to sweep multiple enemies with a kick is overpowered.

On Legend mode, I just made it look easy by blasting the Jingweon Mafia one after the other.
Ahh Man In Black, the best/worst boss in the game. Made me want to break my controller like no other boss in the series.

I want Sega and Yakuza Studios to release Yakuza 3 or what I like to call Yakuza Kiwami 3. Postpone Judgment and make Yakuza Dead Souls 2. Have the Yakuza Boys kick some zombie ass once again. Kiryu, Majima, Saejima, Akiyama, Detective Date, Daigo, Haruka, have the whole party. Have the former fourth chairman of the Tojo Clan call his group the Kiryu Foundation.
