It's in there, but something about that original yell is magical. There's a lot of stuff like that where it feels like the scene is in a hurry to end, because there's so much story getting squeezed into 9 hours. The original briarwood arc was like 40-50 hours of game time, certain things just aren't gonna have the same punch that they did with hours of buildup.
I hope the inevitable success of the first season gains them some more trust with the Amazon execs, so they can get the budget for like 15-20 episodes in season 2. Either way, I fucking love the show so far. I still can't believe it's a thing.

They were all pretty messed up and Percy had, until then, been largely cool, calm, and collected. Seeing him so raw really stunned them all. To be fair, at this point in the campaign, they were all mostly neutral characters. Even Pike, who started out as chaotic good, was chaotic neutral at this point in the story.
The only three in the show who could be considered 'good' are Vex, Vax, and Keyleth, all of whom actually do react or start to move to stop Percy when they realize what he's about to do.
So I wouldn't say they just stood there. In the campaign they were basically stunned and didn't know what to do, it took them by complete surprise. Yeah he did. It got to the point that Marisha and Sam and Taliesin had to watch Orion’s dice roles to make sure he wasn’t fudging them, and Matt had to get increasingly specific about what spells could do + the ring and sorcerer points. He also had a really bad habit of metagaming information his character would not know (like, not being in the actual location/wasn’t something the party would know Via Earrings), and had major Main Character Syndrome when another party member was getting a character rp moment or got a “how do you want to do this” during a major/boss fight. (During those moments the party’s engaged in another player’s moment…except Orion. Sometimes Orion was engaged on a better day, but increasingly he wasn’t or outright glowered.)
Kinda takes all the fun out of both Tiberius as a character + made the episodes Orion acted out like that as a player pretty unenjoyable to watch.
Then ofc how he behaved outside of DnD-stealing money from a charity drive, tearing into a fan for a Tiberius shirt they made for themselves as fanart as “intellectual property” (it’s only when merch is sold there’s a grey area legally, not made for selfusage/not for profit), and abused his girlfriends.
I do hope he’s getting therapy for his behavior, drug addiction, and coping with his health…but CR made the right call booting him from the show (and since they were all friends before CR became a podcast, cutting ties with him). You can only tolerate so much for so long, and by this point Orion had become a liability even if his relationship with the rest of the cast hadn’t become strained. But the main reason why Tiberius isn’t part of TLoVM is because at some point Orion went ahead and copyrighted the character

It is what made taliesin my favourite cast member in season 1. Later on, everybody gets experience enough, and they all include enough backstory for matt to create amazing antagonists, but here, taliesin is showing to the rest how to be a good player and a good dm.
