- We are anchored at the entrance to the Tennessee Tombigbee Waterway right outside (the aptly named) Goat Island. We need to take Ollie out before heading down this new section of the Loop, but how will the Goats react???

ABOUT US
Hi! We are high school sweethearts from Atlanta, Georgia who decided to take a year off to travel around the world. Together we decided to create vlogs for our journey as a fun way to remember it. On September 15, 2019, we left Atlanta with 3 bags, 2 one-way tickets, and 1 goal of traveling for a whole year. Little did we know, 6 months later we would find ourselves in a nationwide lockdown in India. After spending 5 months in India, we came back to the United States and decided to purchase a 34’ Trawler, dive headfirst into boat life, and kick-off America’s Great Loop.
The good, the bad, the ugly - and most importantly, the real and real funny. We’re not here to tell you “how it’s done.”, just how we’ve done it. And that whatever it is that’s calling you - the way you’ll do it is much more attainable than it may seem.

I’m so surprised Ollie didn’t see the goats! She was probably too fixated on the rocks and clams! 🤣 Your chickpea stew looked amazing. I could almost smell it. 😋 All the facts you learned at the visitor center were very interesting! Glad you had some fellow loopers to cruise with…always makes a mom feel good!

One of the last big waterway engineering projects opened in the US as well, wasn't done until 1984
That was a nice day on the waterway. Ollie is cute. Its funny how as a rule, most dogs hate to take a bath. Hapoy New Year ya,'all. 2023 has been a rough year for me. I don't remember much of it now, thankfully. Im hoping 2024 will be a better year than 2023 has been for my family. Happy New Year! Good bye 2023!

We r looking to do the great loop for the first time and we will be bringing our grandkids.We were told there were pirates are human trafficking out there is that true did you witness anything like that thank you we love you'll we watch youll all the time.
That's awesome, I bet your grandkids would love the adventure! Pirates are not on the Loop, and the only closest places we've ever heard of them are off the coast of some countries in Central America. Far away from the Great Loop 😁

I’m so glad you included the recipe, I’ve been searching for one with chick peas, since someone gave me a freeze dried one that had them with curry. (It wasn’t very good ,but I’ve been craving some kind of soup or stew with chick peas ever since. I’ve been wondering what’s going to be the next adventure after the Loop, or if you guys had a berth at Logan Martin or somewhere close to Atlanta. We share Boat Captains with them at Lake Arrowhead Yacht Club, north of Atlanta. Happy New Years!!
