It does work, but you can't kill newly spawned players. Newly spawned FF, and the FF command are different, all the gears mentioned in this video can only kill players with the FF command. Newly spawned FF is indestructible, no gears can kill a player who just spawned in.
You can't get it because they're out of reach. Even if you tried to get it it would not work, since being giant turns you to R15, and R15 breaks most of the gears in the game. Hope this helps!

I don't use mobile devices but I do know there's a grey circle button on the screen which activates it. Just like the black hole scythe ability.
