  • A deep dive into the noises and numbers using the X-Terra Pro. We hit a bunch of targets to see what numbers come up and what the tones are like.

You need to drop the sensitivity down and not run it on Full Sensitivity and try it again At 18 and the " A Bit Jumpy Signal" will stop and you can see that the X-Terra Pro will still get the Same Target's, Cause the X-Terra Pro is putting ALOT of power from the detector and can't figure out what is in the ground from the signal that is recieved back and goes into the jumpy VDI but If you will lower the sensitivity down and give it a chance to process the information that it's received and Seriously that's why it's Jumpy and I can't use my detector at Full Sensitivity Anywhere and I have mine at 3 bars and I think that's 15 on the Simplex and I haven't missed anything yet and I'm still digging up ALOT of 6-8" target's even though I'm at 3 bars and just lower the sensitivity and give it a chance to help you and tell you that it's a junk target and Or A Great Tone but ALOT of the targets that you have found I personally wouldn't of been digging up at ALL, but lower the sensitivity and let the X-Terra Pro tell you what it's seeing and it and you will get to know what each tone Or target is there and the jumpy VDI stop's 😮😮😮...... and I see that you Did drop the sensitivity down at the second tot lot but as soon as you go to the grass you have maxed out the X-Terra Pro again and the X-Terra Pro is again with the jumpy VDI and unstable VDI but hopefully you will actually see what I'm saying so that you can enjoy your time with the X-Terra Pro and your day and Make it and the 2 dollar coin that you dug Was a good number and the VDI didn't jump on the good target and cause you lowered the sensitivity and gave it a chance to tell you what is there......

@@fullhalf420 the sensitivity bars are on the screen and on the left side of the X-Terra Pro and on the Simplex +They are on the right side and your misinformed and need to restudy the X-Terra Pro and yes there's no need to run Hot cause you get more interference than anything and I have a Permission that I have to detect and can't even run 1 bar of sensitivity with the Simplex + without the EMI causing the Simplex to go bonkers and unusable and Notka Macro says that they need a Short video of the Simplex+ problem and send it to them and I haven't yet, but another email they sent me I was told to do a frequency shift and they're thinking it's going to solve the Simplex EMI Problem's but it doesn't matter what he suggests, but it's going to be awhile before I can get back to the permission and make the video And will have it on my CZcams Channel and that's why I'm looking at the X-Terra Pro and know where the sensitivity is on the screen and I have never touched the X-Terra Pro Yet but enough videos that I have watched And you can learn from ALOT More information than your trying to tell me that I'm wrong. But You Sir are the Wrong one with the Simplex+and as soon as I can get the X-Terra Pro My Simplex +will be collecting dust just like my Garrett GTI 2500 is and the Eagle Eye Treasure Hound Attachment Coils that I bought with it. But when I started to study the Simplex + I went to by the testers talking about the Simplex and it's going good but after the years that I have used it and yes it would lock on a coin target but then the Tone's are not easy on my ears anymore and then I was watching a video of the Minelab detector's and the Tone's are More harmony than the Simplex ,Tone's are like hitting the tin roof Simplex tone And Minelab Tone's ALOT easier to listen to and I regret to getting the Simplex but the X-Terra Pro wasn't out yet but I need to get to work and your info is wrong about the X-Terra Pro and the location of the sensitivity......

Just another little hint: Use the Pro Switch to change frequencies and rescan iffy targets. If the TID between 5kHz and 15kHz changes 20+ points it likely isn't as good a target as you originally thought.
Also, TID seems to change depending on where in the detection field the target is, so try to center it before evaluating its potential.

I also just purchased in May the X-Terra Pro and I'm still trying to make sense of it all. Thank-you for making the videos and thank-you to the people leaving tips on how to understand the readings like Carol Rice and Constitutional Patriot in the comments below. This is my 1st metal detector purchase.

I bought an xterra for my son and I have an equinox 800. Night and day difference. Save up for a better machine and end up having more fun and consistently dig better stuff. I probably dig 3 times more coins than junk compared to his machine. Now I have to come over and identify every signal for him because you can’t trust the xterra. But if you don’t care and want to dig everything it is a good starter machine

The Nox is certainly a superior machine to an Xterra. I think bang for buck, the Xterra is a great machine but you are right, you do dig a lot more junk. Given time with the Xterra, you do learn the tones and dig less junk. But it takes time.

Just purchased my X-Terrra Pro and found your channel while looking for information on how to best set it up and to use it. I want to make a suggestion. At some point just after the video intro, and before you actually start swinging the X-Terra, how about letting us know how you have it setup... modes, sensitivity, etc. Then put it to use to obtain "the noises and numbers".. but first give us an idea as to how you have it set.... Thanks.

Hey Trent! Great video! Just got a question....Can you test older Canadian coins such as silver Canadian dimes, quarters, fishscales, large Cents etc with the X terra Pro? Many viewers would be very interested to see how those coins come up! Looking forward to your next video!

That is a wire Lug , used the connect large gauge wire together it is missing a nut that screws down to tighten wires after they are inserted into it . Nice video very helpful on the VDI numbers on the Machine.

A Ground Wire Lug but it's not All there and made of either Copper and Or Red Brass which is copper and brass put together but has a Red tint in the metal and yellow Brass is that yellow and If you have taken a grinder to what you found you will see that it's Red and worth more than yellow Brass to the recycling center, but ALOT of the recycling centers don't know the difference between the two and will actually put the two together and not separate but your loosing money if they don't care and they hope that you don't know the Difference between the two and cheating you.....
