Remember back when 1.6 was just supposed to be a small update mostly for modders?
Me hearing price reductions but in the “bad” way and prices go up for bombs…even Stardew Valley is not immune to inflation haha but in all seriousness, I’m so pumped when I can actually dedicate some time to this in the next week or so!
I’m glad he lowered the sell price of the tea saplings even though people didn’t want it.

This is such a cool update!!!!
I think the clay farming randomization change is a little weird. I understand why the option is there, to not invalidate every run ever, but isn't it also speedrunners/challenge runners primarily using clay farming in the first place? And anybody who hasn't been clay farming (me) presumably shouldn't notice much of a difference either way, right? It just seems that not much changes for anyone, except whatever those resulting changes to the legacy option are. I don't think it's bad to have more options, I just don't really get this option particularly. And then the warp totems at the casino seem like a more straightforward speedrun nerf (has anyone besides Blade and Haboo even done seeded perfection?), since I'd assume warp totems would also be something that had a max quantity added.
I was just shocked when I looked at the list and it just kept going, this seems way closer to 1.5 in size and content than I thought it'd be
4k on day 1, people accidentally discovering it it being very annoying
The clay farming nerf is used by sweaty players too. And the clay farming nerf is not just for clay farming. The reason it's an option is because it changes other "random" elements as well. Things like predicting mushroom floors, monster floors, and probably more.
To a casual player, those won't mean much since they don't even know how to predict those things. But to the more serious players, they can take advantage of these even if they aren't speedrunning / doing challenge runs.
People that don't clay farm will also notice a difference. The change hasn't just changed how clay generates it's also made it so that far less clay will spawn. If you tilled your entire farm in 1.5 and 1.6 you will see a significant reduction in the amount of clay at the end. Clay is used to craft a few popular items and the silo and it makes it annoying having to spend an entire week or two in game to get the amount of clay needed just for a shed of garden pots.
Simply lowering the price of clay would have solved the issue of people exploiting it to make money.
New update! Fishing frenzy? New options to be put in fish tanks? Can't wait to see what that's all about
Tea Sapplings got buffed in the long run despite the change. Shake leaves, sell sapling strat is up 100g
In the future, if you make a video like this again, could you zoom into the text a bit more? I had to zoom in myself manually which does decrease some of the fun bc I cant see your facecam anymore. Otherwise, just wanted to say thanks for checking out the UI section cuz its one I care about a lot but was skipped in another video I watched. I had planned to go read all these myself but I recognize now I never wouldve gotten to it in the end.

Hoping you could help me out as you currently have my favorite content and this is a video no one has put ip yet. I am playing split screen with the wifey on the switch. I have a 5 year compositist pirate house on our beach farm. Everything is themed but with the new update there is now a fishermans beach cabin that I MUST HAVE. Can you make a video on how the new cabins effect co-op? I am scared if i delete my house i lose my character. I wouldnt mind of am forced to box everything up and put ot outside until the new cabins is built but need to know if there are consequences to destroying and replacing a co-op cabin.
Hiya! I just did a little digging on this. It looks like you can change the style of the cabin at Robin's in the "paint building" menu. In addition to actually painting it, there's a small cabin button in one of the corners that lets you change the style. Have fun on the farm with your wife! Dani and I are doing a Meadowlands farm together. 😁
