One thing that the book made clear but the series didnt. They made a packed after: anueng would record the book she is reading for kn to listen to and in exchange she has to listen the text books that kn record for her. Kn falls in love more every time while listening to her audiobook bc she always finishes with "I love ar nueng" ❤
They should’ve included that.

Watching an American and a Brazilian web series got me thinking about your reaction at the end of this episode. I realized that Thai GLs have a way of pulling us in and making we feel so invested in the story that even the simplest kiss can have a huge impact on us. The longing stares, the build up of feelings, the anticipation get you connected to the characters in a way that Western media normally can't convey. The romance and the feelings feel so much more intense, which makes for a way more compelling love story.

Not Vicky throwing hands at the sudden ending / lack of previews. 😁😂🤣 I can't wait for your reaction to episode 6. Khun Neung was literally fighting for her life throughout the entire thing.
As a side note: I love that you picked up on the racing pulse in that last scene. So many of us noticed it too. I'm not sure if they (the editors) created the effect in post or if it was all Faye. Either way, it is a running theme in the book that each time Aneung says something that Khun Neung finds meaningful and romantic, her heart literally THUMP THUMPS. I highly recommend you watch some of the interviews/cast events because Faye will totally surprise you. The woman is unapologetically a top during her lives, but she was painfully shy during the Blank promotional events.

The homework scene is one of my favorite scenes because she has already finished her homework before she went in to mess with Nueng to start with. The entire thing was staged by Anueng.
In the U.S. the term DJ was originally from radio and it was borrowed for people doing things at parties, but originally Disk Jockeys were people in radio that played records (literally)
You are correct about Anueng's strategy. She is completely dauntless in what she wants and she wants everything from Nueng. She is definitely using a boiling frog strategy, turn up the heat gradually, but continuously. Outright praising when she gets what she wants, and when she doesn't, punishment always happens. It's just always clear in the series that punishment is happening because the act is separated from the punishment by other things that draw your attention away, but Anueng's attention is never drawn away. You will want to keep this in mind for season 2 which is going to start out pretty rough.

Two little tidbits about this episode. The book Anueng is reading is Pluto, that will be turned into a series by GMM.
When Anueng asks to kiss Nueng cheek, what she asks for is actually a Hom Kaen or a "Sniff kiss", its costom among loved ones, you press your nose to the person's cheek and inhale (I found this to be so cute actually 😊)
I almost mentioned the hom! I wish there was a word in English that could compare.

@@vickyreacts when I watched the reaction the second time I wondered if you knew about the kiss, when you said she inhaled and held it.
In portuguese we have the word for it and it's a common gesture of affection more to the north of the country. I do love learning this kinda stuff about other cultures.
Yes, Pluto is from the same author and it has a story as nuts as Blank, if they do a good work, it will be an awesome series.
I recently finished the English version of Pluto, it was crazy. Lots of surprises.
Hopefully the series will do it justice, the trailer seems good so far though.
The painting that Arneung is doing while she listens to the voice recording seems like another homage to Pluto. 🤷🏻♀️
@@ZeroSwiz Yes! The story have many twists and turns, I think Planoy enjoy making these intricate plots with lots of drama, it's good for serialization tho. I think from the three I've read so far (GAP, Blank and Pluto), this is my favorite, I've started reading Dream, but it hasn't grabbed my attention, so I'm gonna watch the series first and then go back to it.
I'm kinda biased tbh, I already follow the two leads of Pluto and I love them, so I already like it 😆 but I also think they're gonna do a good job, they have the resource and the tools.

For 17:16, when khun neung goes, im not in your strictness, it should have been more like I'm not in your box/cage anymore. And yes "tuo lek" does mean little one, its Sam's nickname, and even "Sam" is a nickname 😂 cus her real name is Mom Luang Samanan Anantrakul, which Mom Luang is a royal title that goes to last royal decendents. Also its pronounced like M-om not like mum like mother.
