I know plenty of bosses would have canned George for way less than this. Yeah no reason for him to feel bad at all. It's a drag cars made to race and he raced it just like he should have, this sort of thing happens to anyone as you say. I'm thinking this is a good way to show why most people aren't racing SUVs though!

@@helplmchoking Well, he has reason to feel bad. Nate told him to leave in 2nd gear and he refused. Nate mentioned it and Cleetus mentioned it. You could tell Cleetus wasn't very happy with that decision. I love George, but when your tuner tells you to leave in 2nd, you should probably listen.
@@vandersgarage4682 George is new to the drag strip. Nate isn't part of the team, Garrett pays him well to travel to them. When an acquaintance tells you to do something totally different than what you have learned on your own are you gonna change your entire way of doing something? Probably not.
Not many people experience what George is going thru right now. Getting thrown into a 1000ft/lb short wheel base and not flipping it like someone on a 2stroke dirt bike for the first time

George is the best. Sure the Blazer is broken, but where else would we get such good content? If everything worked out perfect every time it wouldn't be so good to watch, but the drama and action is natural and great entertainment. And it's great for the algorithms and engagement, so I say keep it up George!
Might be a good idea to fab up some protection under the Blazer for next time like a big skid plate mounted to some bump stops or something.

I’ve felt this amount of disappointment from my wife before! I for one hate the broken content videos, I love to see these cars flourish and perform top level, but I do understand that this stuff is bound to happen when you’re running these cars this strong and minimal testing. When people like him and Kevin from KSR suggest something, it's probably in your best interest to listen, espically in preminily rounds. It's a great chance just to get a nice clean shakedown run. I see everyone commenting about how cleet feels about the car. Whenever he ran across the track to George to make sure he was okay. The blazer and all the money spent on it can be replaced. George can't be replaced. I'm sure this is all frustrating for everyone involved. But we're all just happy George made it out safe.
Well that's kind of a given Nobody wants to see him hurt but the problem is that George is going to end up hurting someone else due to inexperience in a car with that much power he just needs more experience in a slower car and work his way up . I think it's great what there doing they just need to remember they have alot of eyes watching . The old saying goes " it's all fun till someone ends up hurt/dead"
George just needs to take it a little more seriously on track. I don’t think he means to do this stuff he just doesn’t seem to have the experience or respect for high power cars to avoid these mistakes.

This was my first time being at an event y'all participated in. It was awesome seeing y'all in person. Talked to George briefly while mullet was staging for second round qualifying. He seemed pretty bummed. I hope I get to see y'all crush it the next time I can make it to an event!

It came up so quick I can't blame George that much. This isn't a turbo car power wheelie 100ft out, but an instant blower wheelie right off the hit. Fix it, play with 2nd gear launches, and it will be back at it.

@@TechKnowCSS I'm not sure exactly how the hierarchy works aside from Cleetus being the car owner, but I don't think Doc was the crew chief for any of the cars, maybe Ruby. Cleetus didn't mention talking to George before the race, so my guess is each driver is their own crew chief and Doc was only giving advice. George should have listened to Doc, but it was George's choice.
