Can we all appreciate how rational and coherent her mom is? I love her. And I hate that Heidi says she attacks her when actually she asked and her mom was even reluctant to answer bc she wanted to be honest but not cruel.
Truth. Mom was so gracious when she gently told Heidi to rephrase her question so as not to blatantly put her down during her most fragile moment.
Even when the answer is honest, you don't feel like that when you're on the other side. Sometimes honesty is not the way to go.

Heidi’s mom has great tv presence. Her timing, what she says, how she holds herself, it’s all so natural and articulate. The part in particular I like is where Heidi asks her if she looks good her mom gives her a crushed, saddened expression, ever so slightly shaking her head and looking into Heidi’s eyes as if to say “I want to say yes to make you happy... but no, honey, I love you but no I don’t. You’ve made a terrible mistake.”
Heidi has always been so articulate when having conversations I think she get it from her mom.

@@blake7065Right?? She looks great! This was also filmed right after her surgery, her face has had time to heal since then. If you look at her now, she looks natural and beautiful. There are a lot of plastic surgery addicts who can’t say the same about themselves.

Natural is skin texture and asymmetry and unevenness and marks and bumps and faces and bodies that MOVE and CHANGE. I don’t even think it’s worth debating if she looks “good” or not. She looks like an idea of a person. It’s weird now to keep hearing people say “but it looks good!” when someone gets all this work done … it’s sad. It’ll always be sad to erase, cut, strip and suck away any aspect that proves we’re made by hand and not by machine.

Watching this years later, now as a mother, this scene breaks my heart. To be looking at your daughter, who you no longer recognize and who ruined her looks, I mean she is scary looking there and has that plastic surgery gone wrong face.... not only that but realizing how incredibly damaged and broken your daughter must be to have done so many procedures.... horrible. Spencer was the worst thing to happen to that girl.... ruined her life .

When she started crying I legitimately started getting tears in my eyes..I’ve been through a great deal of pain like she expressed, but we both have our Mom’s! I’m so grateful to have my Mom:) She’s always been there through all the ups and downs..my father abandoned our family so I never had a “male” in my life. My Mom’s Brother John was the only guy human wise that ever loved me.
We can’t change someone and their feelings and at that time Heidi felt like she needed to do these things to herself out of her pain. But flash forward to now, she’s doing very well as a Mom and I’m really happy for her:)

I watched this show when it first aired and watching it now so many years later and seeing the gradual progression of Heidi's facial changes is just crazy. Her mom was the greatest though. So real and so truthful without being hurtful even though Heidi took it that way. Like you asked her opinion and it was nothing but truth.

I remember when all this blew up, it was right after MJs passing and it was nearly front page news. She had to get extra annestic to get 11 procedures in one sitting.

Looking back now, this surgery HAS settled down a bit. She now does look pretty much like the old Heidi now in 2021. Her eyelift definitely sagged down back to normal.

I'm not against cosmetic surgery but what she did to herself after how she used to look is tragic. Heidi's mom handled it beautifully, I can't imagine how hard this must have been for her and her family. Where on earth was Spencer when this was happening? From the look of Heidi's recent film on New Beginnings she is still body shaming herself by not accepting her looks and continuing to get work done.
