Daniel Youngblood . Can't tell if you are serious or not. The hardware used for that processing you spoke of has changed a great deal between the 360 and One. Age has everything to do with it when we are talking about progression of technology released in newer generation of consoles . The 360's older hardware is significantly less powerful, and capable than the One.

@@mateusfs I’ve been a long time player of Forza and that was the worst one made it was a straight port of graphics from the first game but you could tell many areas were unfinished due to budget and time constraints. The gameplay was fine and had the spirit of the first game but graphically they did not try. Forza horizon 1 on the one x and now series x will look the best

this may very well be the last game I get for my trusty old xbox 360 before switching to a "current gen system". It really looks amazing on the 360 considering the outdated hardware, Nixxes software really did a fantastic job on getting absolutely everything out of the xbox 360 and optimizing this game.

Been playing rise of the tomb raider and fallout 4 all day and whenever I'm playing fallout I'm wishing I was playing rise of the tomb raider instead. Rise of the tomb raider is the best game I've played all generation by far and also the prettiest.

Played the 360 now almost done with the ps4 version. Both play identically. They pushed the 360 as far as it can go on this version, I wouldn't hesitate to play either version.

I played this game in both consoles, and honestly, I didn't see a big difference between these versions. In Xbox One he looks a little more detailed, but this game looks beautiful on x360 too, specialty when you remember that's a 15 years old console.

the difference between generations is blurring. compare the switch from ps2 to ps3 and ps4 to 9s5. im not familiar with the numbers of the generations so im just using those consoles as reference points but you could barely tell the difference. its just ray tracing now and thats it. its so hard to tell the difference now.
You’re seriously tripping. Not only does the character models look completely different, there’s texture details on the ice and reflective surfaces on stone/wet surfaces amongst many many other. You must own a 360 only lol

The 360 version is very nice when you think about that the game uses such large structures details and textures. It handles it valiantly. Its not like the game was designed for the 360, but they did pretty well. IT would of looked loads better if they had used smaller areas objects and the such.
I think Crystal Dynamics need an applause for making such a good port for last-gen.
I've just played the 360 version on HDTV and it looks superb. There are some small graphics issues, like pop-in, but in places like 2:05 and 3:14, I prefer not to have the extra lighting and graphical effects as they block what you are actually seeing. Sometimes the graphics and colours are easier to see.

The 360 version is truly beautiful still, and in 75% of cases looks better than the next gen version.
goes to show what developers can do when working with the same hardware for 10 years. they mastered optimization, the 360 literally has only half a gb of ram that the cpu and gpu have to share. incredible. ps3 too, took them awhile to learn how to properly use it, and when they did games like uncharted 2/3 and the last of us came around. i sat down to play my own ps3, for the first time, this year and couldnt believe what they could do with 2006 specs. some games could pass for current gen

Thats really impressive work, great use of Xbox 360 capabilities , to its fullest I would say, Nixxes really have some skilled engineers, very few managed this kind of technical achievement on a hardware that was conceived in early 2003, there is a 10+ gap between the 2 platforms , unfortunatelly not all ports are so good like this, like DA:I and Shadow of Mordor.
360 version really does look better than cyberpunk.

This game wasn't coming to the 360, or ps3 but Microsoft made a deal, & the Witcher 2 didn't come to PS3 because the team didn't have enough time/money to do both. They chose the 360 because it was far easier to port it over, from the PC.

It's so sad to see how the people who ported BO3 on 360 did a very poor job, while the people who ported ROTTR did an excellent job. Goes to show how much the 360 could REALLY handle.

Actually sean the original Lara croft games were original on Xbox... They not restarted the franchise with tomb raider that was on all platforms and this latest one is timed exclusive I believe.

I play it on 360 and looks great but the consol stugglea a bit if you press the back button mid wile doing anything other than standing still game lags for a split second or two
In some scenes, I actually find the 360 version better. I mean it didn't have as much things in it, but the textures on certain things were way better

I have to give it to Crystal Dynamics. They made a last gen port that still looks somewhat comparable to its next gen counterpart. It is amazing that games like this and MGS V: TPP are running on 10 year old hardware.

+rodzandz the most different is in xbox one, cutscene is render realtime. Xbox 360 is using pre-render of Xbox One model. In xbox 360, there are missing reflection on some stuff, rock. Xbox One got a lot.
If you can, you can watch the walkthrough of the xbox 360 version, in the village sequences, you will see "PS2" texture.
Finally! A last gen port developers actually put good effort into. Seeing as I have no Xbox One at the moment and have no plans of waiting a whole year for it to come out on Ps4, I'll likely get this for 360 soon.
This is why we dont need to buy xbone for this game just get it for xbox 360 and enjoy and if you want next gen wait a year and get game of teh year edition fpr 1080P in 60 FPS PS4 ;D

Man, compare this to one of the earliest Xbox 360 titles - Tomb Raider Legend - and it's clear this console came a very long way during its life cycle.

Well the current gen consoles weren't made with the same mentality as the last gen. Both the 360 and PS3 were sold at a loss with pretty impressive hardware. This gen both consoles were sold with profit and ended up with mediocre hardware.

Because it was on Xbox first due to licensing. When it was finally available on PlayStation, the PS3 was too old and thus was made for ps4.

probably the best cross gen port of the new gen. having said that actually seeing and playing this on Xbox One the difference is pretty huge. I was lead to believe their wasn't much of a difference from the 360 version and that couldn't be further from the truth. this is probably the best looking game I've seen so far this gen. to top it off it's also one of the best games I've played in years.
