- The latest teaser trailer for Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 brought us TONS of new information and secrets for the upcoming release.
But even with all the new information, many people still can't agree on what exactly the new enemy or toy is going to be in chapter 3.
In this video I give you a theory based on all the evidence we have available. Not only do I believe we know exactly who the next antagonist will be, I think we have strong evidence that there will be several new enemies for us to face.

Has anyone else noticed that the scratch marks are BEHIND the portraits? So the pictures were put up after the damage for some reason.
Yeah yeah!! I realized that and I think it might be that this toy/these toys loved those children like mommy did and still respecting their souls??
Interesting enough that’s the same thing that happened to kissy missy in her vhs tape the claws marks where behind her legs.

I noticed that they're not really scratches, but like a drawing of scratches.
I think my favorite thing about the mystery is we still don't completely know how they brought the toys to life. With all the religious references it could even be some sort of sacrilegious or demonic ritual used
Based off the note on Lugwig’s room, they kill the kid, take their organs and flesh out, implant their insides into the toy, submerge the toy into the poppy flower mixture (or they spray the red gas onto them, which could also act as a substitute for the poppy mixture), and then they electrocute it so that it Frankensteins to life.
na id prefer if they played into the fact that these were scientific abomnitations rather then demons.

This villains name, I think is named Spectre, bc of the picture of the gas mask in the teaser #2, you can see letters that spell out “Spectremetus” which probably references this monster

@@koraiko I do get that it’s one of the passwords, but we don’t know about this creature as much as MML during the chapter 2 arg, even though it could be multiple enemies, we can tell that one of them is named spectre
I think the purple claw thing is a huge hint. The burned up lion looking picture looks pretty purple to me so I think that the purple claw we keep seeing belongs to the lion-esk creature. The reason we keep seeing the purple one is because that's the one that is very limited on being seen other places. The face that breaths out the gas looks pretty tan-ish if you ask me before the lighting changes to the more purple/red colors, I fell like it's to mask the true color of the creature. MOB is sneaky like that, making something look like something else in their teasers. Like how they made Mommys hand look like a grab-pack hand in her teaser.

The lion thing you brought up ( 06:22 ) actually makes a lot of sense!! If you look closely, it seems like the lions colors are purple and blue which feels like the main toy we're showed in this trailer!! The face could be seen as a lions too and claws are more of a cat thing more than anything else..
The arms of the “lion” are blue tho, while the arm of the purple thing are entirely purple

if you look at the thing you guys see as a lion the paws are hooves but the tail is more lion like so i think it might be a cow rather than a lion
Ig so. The only thing that throws me off is the scales on the creature. Cats don’t have scales, dogs don’t have scales?? It seems to be some sort of reptile
Something interesting I noticed is how drab and muted the playcare looks? I mean the last two chapters were very colorful, ch 3 gives off the vibe of a decaying orphanage! Definitely interesting.
You’d think in a daycare/place for kids the decoration would be more… playful? It looks like a Victorian mansion nearly.
maybe an effect that the chapter will get darker with the story (every chapter is more muted or so)
Or its just a video thing. They told us ~24hours before release that they are working on better lightning and details for the teaser trailer.

I'll be quite surprised if there isn't some 'gang culture' at play in the larger story. The scratchings on the walls shown in this trailer seem to worship 1006 (as with the death screens that appear in the previous chapters) but Mommy's last words from chapter 2 doesn't sound like she was one of his 'followers'?
Also the children add a whole other dimension as well because it's basically them vs the playtime co employees who treated them horribly and experimented on them?
Either way, the theories coming out from this new trailer are so fascinating, can't wait to see what the new chapter brings!
Maybe it's a mix between an owl and a lamb. Owls are known for being nocturnal predators, while lambs are known for being sacrificed back then which fit the cult vibes we get from the teaser.
Had this thought to. We have PJ who is a Pug and Caterpillar, so we could have another swap-animal

ooh, if that were the case it would be really cool if they used an owls neck rotation abilities as a way to make the monster more scary. I imagine it spinning its head around cartoonishly this way and that- and the spinning would be vertical so you can always see its face, not breaking eye contact or expression. The spinning could also have an awful, fleshy torsion sound too.
Another thought occurs to me. There was emphasis on Bunzo’s eyes being forcibly removed. In this trailer, once again we are focused on eyes, and these are just a tad unsettling. Could the eyes in this creature have been taken from Bunzo?
Frankly, MOB games really is bringing the horror on. I was spooked when I first saw the trailer.
Side note, and this is my own personal take, I think I can see a theme for these 2 antagonists (if they are in fact 2, since we don't know). What if we're dealing with a themed pair after the Jabberwock poem from the Alice in Wonderland stories? Specifically speaking, the Bandersnatch and the Jub Jub bird from the poem of the Jabberwock. Alice in Wonderland is one of the most famous kid stories in the world, and if the Playcare was built for children, it wouldn't surprise me that there would be lots of different children story motifs placed around it. We also have to remember that the gas mask is going to be important, so if one of the antagonists is breathing out the red gas, and we know that the word somniferous is used (which means to induce sleep), it wouldn't a stretch to think that MOB games may be sending us to "Wonderland" via the red gas.
Of course, this is my just my idea on the theme of the 2 antagonist (if there are 2). Heck, if it's just 1, then maybe we're dealing with the Jabberwock only and it has owl-like traits along with being able to breathe the gas like a dragon does fire? lol

The decapitation is an interesting detail. I've had several birds of prey decapitate my fowl. I originally thought the purple drawing was a moth, but what I thought was antennae could also be plumicorns on an owl. The purple leg and claws do remind me of an owl as well.

I do think an owl is the most likely species for the bird to be. The are nocturnal (so natural associations with night time and sleep), strong, and feirce predators, while also being loved by people of all ages for their cute appearance making it a perfect candidate for a living toy.
However, I don't think the purple claws belong to the owl. Sure they look like owl claws on the teaser picture, but on the teaser trailer they look more mammalian. All four claws seem to all face forwards rather than three facing forwards and one backwards like you would expect from a bird. Also there are scratches high on the walls that seem to be dragged through rather than slashed which would be difficult for a bird I think. I struggled to word that last bit sorry.
But we're all just speculating and I wouldn't be surprised if they've managed to trick all of us and the antagonists are going to be something we never expected 😂.
I definitely do think there is atleast 2 antagonists, potentially 3 or 4.
What about a manticore it would make sense the lion for face and claws. The flying enemy would also fit with the wings.

This chapter really is a “triple threat.”
Keep in mind that each kid under the care of Playtime Co was assigned a specific toy which their soul was bound to during the companies experiments. This lends credence to your theory that the kid in the photo being one of the antagonists in this chapter
Like how he pointed out the huggy on the amalgamation, and the possible Mommy LongLegs (though those fingers are to pointed), but didnt point out the Bron on the amalgamations right shoulder.

One thing I have with the bird theory is that the bird in the drawing is purple, so Playtime Co may have made one off examples of these toys for actually selling
6:21 that just looks like another unicorn. Not all unicorns have horse-like tails. A lot also have tails like lions, which I actually think looks better on unicorns.
Look at "The Last Unicorn" for example. And old medieval drawings of unicorns.

I used to have a major fear of Storks/Cranes/Egrets and my sister has major fear of sloths. i would love for an antagonist to be based on one of those. Also the face that breathes the gas looks a bit like pug-a-pillar.

Absolutely could be. That's why I said "at least three" at the end, because I could see there being a bunch.
I actually believe this Creature is a Form of Swap-Amle being a mix of a Cat and a Bird/Butterfly perhaps, similar to Catbee or Pug-A-Pillar.
If there are truly 3 different antagonists, I find it weird they would make the Dog and the Bird both Purple instead of having different colours to distinguish them which leads me to believe they are meant to be the same creature but with very large wings perhaps even attached to the arms similar to a Bat.
I feel like the purple paw is gonna be the mostly burnt away lion character he pointed out. I honestly thought that the gas breather is pugapillar😅

I personally think the big bads in the trailer are 'nightmare versions' of the real toys, the trailer is throwing out some massive nightmare on elm street vibes with the scratches and sleep as a main focus. I think Bron is the main big bad sending you to sleep or atleast giving you scarecrow like nightmare gas which amps up the horror of the other toys. I think it would be a clever way to make the toys horrific and also make them apealing to the audience they were made for. This would also explain the stark difference between the poster and the real thing. Someone also mentioned scratches BEHIND the pictures of the kids which only really makes sense if they were hung after the damage or... if its just a dream it doesnt have to make sense.

Also the candles, the religious theming, the wings - I get the feeling that a MAJOR evil thing happened. Perhaps a ritual - maybe that's part of what brought the toys to life, but the corporation didn't know the extent that it could go. I dunno lol but what I DO think is the date July 15th - I think that's the date of "the incident" that shut down the factory. We've gotten that date at least twice, in the BBQ poster and in one of that guy's videos that got killed by Boxy Boo - he did say that he was going to shut down the security systems - which could very well be the same systems that kept the Bigger Bodies locked up - and if that happened, either the Prototype got out with them, or he made the toys come release him.
I feel like at least one antagonist for the new chapter will look similar to cheshire cat from alice in wonderland since the purple head does remind me of his and the other design parallels of poppy playtime characters such as poppy, Pj, and daisy looking similar to alice, the caterpillar smoking gas, and the several flowers with faces in alice in wonderland
Ah yeah this makes sense. So maybe it's those 3 but the Gas one is the main baddie and not one of them so they are more just small enemies with their own sections.
PLEASE READ THIS:
No one's talking about this, but the Monster of Chapter 3 could maaaybeeee be a Dragon. I really don't know if that makes some sense, but hear me out: At the End of the Trailer, we can see him releasing the RedGas from what seems to be his Mouth, and what does a Dragon do? He releases fire from his Mouth. Plus, a Dragon has Wings, and people think that the New Monster will be some type of Bird. And let's be real, every kid likes to play with dragons. Also, if you search "Dragon" on Google and look at the Feet of some of them, you'll see that it looks like the Claw of the Monster a LOT.
What do you guys think? Am I getting crazy?
Hey Tericho, a couple of things: First the character at 7:30 looks like P-J Pugapillar to me. Since there was commentary that chars from second chapter might be returning, I wouldn't rule it out, even though we saw a smaller version of him being spider-webbed. Would work as well with your dog theory, just my hunch. Second from the morsecode ARG thingie from the poster and from MobGames page decoded it opens up to this drive file. And I noticed that the last decoded part is fldmann, which stands for Feldmann in my opinion, a German surname. I wondered what kind of character that might be and where they fall into this. Also I always wondered why the languages on I believe some early tapes for chapter two, featured English, but German and Russian subtitles; with the facility being located in USA and regarding the time I find it even more curious. Lastly Bunzo Bunny from the cartoon in his last 'real' picture is not missing his eyes. If you look closely you can see remains of his left eye hanging out. What is really opened is his head and both trying to remove his eyes and ultimately opening his head tells me that someone went for his brain. It is a common practise in minor brain surgery to go via the eye channel (it looks a bit gruesome, search it if you really want). Taking out a brain post-mortem however is rather done through the nose like they did with the mummies in Ancient Egypt. There are these soft lines between skull parts though that grow sturdy as you get older. So especially for children, you can try and crack their skull open there without hurting the brain from my guess. 'The hour of joy is at hand' is a pun with the claw of the prototype btw. I also do not believe that big Huggy is dead, from a merchandise perspective of this game it would not fit and even though I like MobGames, they do not strike me as people that would likely slip such opportunities through their fingers. Do you actually have a clue, whose name is on the missing slide in the beginning of chapter two now, with the introduction of so many new characters since, there might be a fit, who knows? Also thank you so darn much for making these videos on your channel. This is the second comment I ever did in CZcams, so everything here is my steamed-up thinking. i feel as though more than likely this creature is a combination or all those children the purple lion the bird and the dog kind of like a chimera of sorts. even more disturbing would be the idea that simply one child doesn't make up this toy but all the children in those photos. All fused together to make the one. It also kind of explains why the creature would be so devoted to the one who freed it.

I think its a sloth tbh my reasoning is that they are nocturnal animals(wake up only at night) , have 4 claws and long arms .
How does it compare to the monster in the teaser? Well the monster only roams at night described by the hand drawn images by the children. More over If you put a sloths face and the monsters face side by side there is a lot of resemblance so idk maybe im right or wrong well only find out in december
As I mentioned in another video, I have this mini theory that the toy amalgamation we see in the teaser could possibly be the result of the new Purple Monster work. We see "the original saved me" written on the wall, so it implies that the new antagonist worships the prototype (the original) and helps him by collecting body parts for him.
The point about the unicorn horn is so good!!! I didn't even think about that as a possibility when I first watched the trailer, wow!!

I agree with you! I was thinking about that poster, and noticed the stickers on the frames. The thing that threw me off is that in one of the stills from the trailer, looks like a decapitated version of the dog from the poster - I definitely think that the thing is a dog/cat like creature, for me it was the nose that gave it away. Up to this point, I have seen and agreed with practically everything you've said and noticed, I think you're on the right track! Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see more!
my take on ur theory is that maybe the different creatures corresponds to the different time of the day because it seems like they’re doing a sun and moon concept kinda thing where at night, one of the creatures is the one that guards them or smth. there are 3 toys tho so im not entirely sure
I'm excited to see who the new is going to be in chapter 3. Ever since the poster that was seen for the PlayCare in Project: Playtime with the Dog, the Chicken, and Unicorn I've been wondering that instead of just one main enemy like with chapters 1 and 2. That it would actually be multiple enemies as I feel like these plush are really holding up with their significance since we got the new teaser trailer as it's been a prediction of mine for Chapter 3. But awesome job going more in depth with the toys that we have yet to see Tericho.

I have a couple of new questions. 1) Why, when there are claw marks, is it as a trail? Is it blind?
At 6:23 you can see wings behind the figure plus a tail. White wings with black line for the feathers. The second creature looks like it is standing up with its wings folded. The tail looks like a lion but the feet look like hooves. I thought of a Pegasus and Griffin. Homunculus maybe. One creature made up of different parts.

I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who thought it was probably those creatures. I got it based on the picture frames and because purple creatures mouth reminds me of a dog and I saw the the merch Mob entertainment put out of its hand which has for claws instead of 3.
Well, i think theres a possibly that the monster for chapter 3 is a swapamil. Think about it, we have cat bee and pj pug-a-pillar, Two of them having features of 2 different animals. If we look at the foot, it has scaley feet and a furry leg. So my guess is that the antagonist for chapter 3 is a swapamil. With features of a owl and a mammal, maybe a bear or lion. But thats just my theory, you can comment on my comment for your opinions.

What if it is a cat, but their form changes whenever they use the gas? One of the drawings says, "He gives me nightmares." What if the gas doesn't just make you sleep... But make you hallucinate...

as i already said in chapter 2 1006 probably collects the dead toys (chapter 1:huggy, chapter 2: mommy) and completes himself. hes a prototype after all and he is completing himself. in rhe picture here we got to see we probably also can see the hand rhat snatched mommys rests
Idk... at 3:53, i dont think the blue on top is a moth or butterfly. The long curved line at the top could be the top of a doorway or window. And the blue crescent shape below it looks like the moon to me.. i personally dont think it's a drawing of another creature. Something that supports this is the drawing says "time for bed". Another thing i wsnted to add is that i thought the red scribbles could be blood, but i now realize its probably the red gas we've been seeing.
I think it's a dragon. That would explain the claws, wings, smoke and the ticking up ears (horns)
I personally think the eyes look like Bron, the claw looks like Candy Cat and the purple figure is unknown until possible the full trailer drops. Either way, I am so heckin excited!

After thinking for a long time, I think the creature at the end of the teaser is a Raccoon. They're nocturnal which would fit perfectly for the deep sleep image and even when slightly revealing the monster in the trailer they keep its eyes dark. I think it's to conceal the mask of the Raccoon.
(that's when the dog came in and did well this) there was another thing that I said on the wall the hour of joy is at hand.

We did have 3 different characters as well in the last Chapter. Pugapillar, The Bunny guy and Mommy Long legs, so that makes sense.

oh good, I was starting to feel insane for my theory that it was a dog ( mainly Petite Pooch) and no one else seeming to think that it is. I been saying that it most likely this character for a while in comments for a while, mainly from when the teaser image came out. the reason I say it could be Petite Pooch, it because we see the blueprint for this dog design in chapter 2, there is concept artwork which show one of these dogs on the floor and the colour is purple.. like the paw we are seeing. I also notice that in the trailer the dog creature also seems to be breathing out the gas.. so that something I found interesting... anyway, yay for someone else thinking that it is a dog.

I feel like the weird winged lion might be our antagonist because its purple at the feet and the claws would make sense as other people have commented. Plus the wings on the child drawings would also make sense! but that's just my opinon! :)
It honestly looks like Big to me from sonic, could be the inspiration like Mommy Long Legs got inspired by that one toy (dont remember its name, something with noodle) but i think this might be a inspirational character from sonic here, big in this case.
@tericho one of the kid pictures from the teaser has two monsters on the picture. the picture has a monster that is black and white monster i think thats the one that was hiding in the shadow and jumpscared us on the poppy playtime teaser video
btw near the start of the poppy playtime teaser video when you see the headless huggy body near the top left of the screen there is another headless doll i think that doll is the dog we find on the posters in project playtime

I think that purple thing is a dragon tbh: it breaths gas, looking like if it was smoke, the claws look very strong and the talons are scaly, and if you look close enough at the face it doesn’t seem to me to have any dog/cat-like nose, but instead actual separate nostrils; also the huggy impaled on a horn still works with this theory too. Maybe it’s a feathered/furry type of dragon, kinda like the one from Eragon to be more appealing and friendly but come on, every kid loves dragons so I can actually see this being the case.
10:02 i mean the structure doesn't even look the same as huggy, or kissy, so i think it's something else entirely. I mean the "forehead" is slanted back compared to the eyes and mouth, compared to huggy wuggy with his flat face.
I think its slanted because its mouth is open. like it died mid fight screaming. It looks a lot like a huggy head with the red mouth and sharp teeth
That one kid with the unicorn frame around his picture has a bright white nose that looks a lot like a horn, giving more credence to your unicorn theory
A trio of villains would be very interesting.
What still disturbs me is the screaming children in the background, makes me think we are going to get some footage on how horrific these experiments were.

I THINK THAT IS A GRIFFIN the mythological, eagle and horse like creature who would you believe it or not is heavily associated with sleep
I feel like Lovebug and Candy Cat are the bad guys that work together, Lovebug has a moon on its chest, which would work for the night cycle of playcare, plus the wings and antenna will match up for the drawings on the walls, and candy cat if I remember correctly has a purple color scheme, maybe his roll at night is to help put the kids to sleep?
i have a lil theory here if u listen carfully to what poppy is saying at the end of chapter 2 when u get the 3rd part of the train code she says "ill go board the train" and when we crash the train at the very end we can hear a roar from the speaker or what ever shes using to talk to us so it means either poppy for some reason did a big roar or something was in the train car with her and will follow us throughout chapter 3.
(sorry if i copeid someone elses theory and i didnt know but its jsut a theory and it could be completely wrong)
