Many people don't know a VERY interesting fact: You can take up to $250K tax deduction, and depreciate them yearly.

Hey, I love this animal and want to do some investment in it. But another question came up in my mind, can you milk this animal or not? Plus, how would be Alpaca's milk?

The word alpaca, which came from Aymara (it’s an American language spoken in the Altiplano in Peru and Bolivia), displaced the older English word paco, which came from Quechua, as the common name for this animal. Can you believe that?

Can alpaca eat straw and shrubs as well? Thank you.

Shrubs yes, but straw (dead stems of harvested wheat or oats) is not nutritious enough. Hay (dried green grass with seed heads intact) and alfalfa is what they need to eat, along with pellets and mineral salt, and water, of course.

#India please raise these animals(alpacas, llamas, camels, sheeps, cows & goats) in hill or mountainous terrains around the country. We have sufficient grasslands they could graze, allot physically trained veterans in Animal Husbandry & care taking activities, most importantly allocate Funds for veteran farmers.
