I completely agree. I think the four of them playing DnD together is the best therapy for him (and maybe even the others too?). If you haven't listened to his "Dust" campaign he has a very similar moment. (Spoilers) One of the characters he plays husband dies after they just got married. When he is talking from the wife's perspective about the loss she is feeling, it made me immediately think about this is how he felt when his mother passed. I consistently want to give him all of the hugs.
Having gone through something similar myself, I cannot thank Travis (and the others of course) enough for trusting us with their pain and creating beautiful words with it. _All exits are not made equal._

I cried over this??? Like genuinely sobbed??? I'm not sure why but something about this animatic really resonated with all the ways I'm personally interpreting this story, and the music choice is amazing and the art is incredible and !!!!! Wow. Amazing. Thank you.
hey i’m 3 years late to this video but i just wanna point out something i noticed about aubrey. in the beginning of amnesty, she’s so caught up in her grief and becomes so angry at ned when she realizes he was involved in her mother’s death. after ned dies, i can’t possibly imagine how aubrey must feel, knowing that she treated her friend like that in his last moments. the way she copes with her grief is with anger and taking it out on ned only leads to even more grief. and after ned’s death i think she realizes that her anger wasn’t worth it. and when sylvain, a LITERAL GODDESS, apologizes for what happened all those years ago, aubrey realizes that she doesn’t need to be angry. she’s done being angry, and she’s willing to forgive. i think aubrey’s character arc is so SO relatable and i just love how travis always puts his whole heart into making believable characters who deal with grief and anger in such relatable ways. also i just wanna say how much your amnesty animatics have affected me. i come back all of the time to watch these and they get me crying every time. you’re honestly so underrated cuz these deserve all of the attention in the world. anyways this comment probably wont get any attention cuz i’m so late to the fanbase lol but i just think aubrey is so cool yk?????
So hands down this is probably the best animatic I have ever seen? The song choice, the emotion packed into each and every frame, the fluidity of motion even via still images? Like the scene at the end of Sylvain and Aubrey spinning around and hugging and combining into one was??? So goddamn gorgeous I'm honestly kind of beyond words. Just. Wow. Bravo. Really and truly bravo.

I’m sobbing thank u for this video,,, tbh I imagined Sylvain growing up with Aubrey (like, physically getting older? Or maybe just changing to look more like her over time) but I love your interpretation too! Makes me sad how she was just standing and watching and couldn’t do anything :( the way you showed how they grew closer and changed was really really good too! Oh and I love that one frame where Sylvains flames look like a dress it’s so pretty,,,, the way u draw fire in general is just !!!! ANYWAY uhhh gay rights i guess lmao EDIT: OH MY GOD I CANT BELIEVE I FORGOT TO MENTION THE ENDING???? ITS SO GOOD. OH MY GODDDDD
I would totally watch The Adventure Zone: Amnesty as an HBO miniseries. Because, like, they only fight a handful of abominations, what, 5? 6? And that each abomination they fight is its own 2-3- part episode, with a huge 2-hour finale or something. Get the McElroys overseeing production, bring them on as cameos and creative consultants, and it'd be an absolute blast!
