- Krystal Klear's Italo disco-influenced Neutron Dance on Running Back was everywhere last year. But what sounds, instruments and effects did they use to build the deceptively simple track? To find out, Telekom Electronic Beats TV asked live-electronics masters Skinnerbox to remake the track from scratch, in the process discovering the tune's hidden depths.

@@ElectronicBeatsTV certainly one of the biggest, but a success that seemed so contrived by a few big DJs and the electronic music press in a fashion most familiar to the pop industry. RA hyped it as a summer anthem before it was even released and it had barely been played. Most remarkable for the sheer disparity between the reputation and what is a trite, derivative, forgettable piece of music. Certainly a matter of opinion, but a track that invites the contempt.
But a fantastic idea for a video 😉
