That beauty has fishing trip written all over her. Nice build.
Wow, Troy, She Sure Is Coming Along ! Will Glide Along Nicely ! ATB T & M God Bless
Good job Troy. For plastic epoxy spreaders expired credit cards work well. Also you can make them out of plastic coffee can lids. As you probably figured out by now the smoother you get with the strips in the beginning the less work it is later and the less sanding it takes. The less you put on the less you need to take off later. Otherwise the bumps and divets just seem to grow with each new layer you add. Been there done that. Its all about the learning process. Great project. She'll serve you well.
Looking Great man ! Lots of work there. Cant wait to see her on the water
Wow! That thing is turning out beautiful!
Great job,I can wait see you on the water take care.
It's really coming along Troy...looking like a real canoe! Cheers.

Looking really good
Great looking work there Troy
Nice work buddy! I cant believe how easy it slipped off of the mold. I figured you we're going to have a rough time separating that. Awesome!
That's a great looking canoe, lots of hours gone into a solo project like that.
Awesome job so far Troy!!
I used a mudding knife and a lousy paintbrush. What i didnt do was a plastic sheet on the floor and had to use a spud to get all the damn epoxy up. The single sheet of fabric looks pro.
Looking good
Awesome job
Fantastic work!!

Awesome work brother! I'm sure we'll be seeing lots of canoe adventures in the future. Take care
Holy smokes Troy! This is unreal, what a weapon she gonna be. Got any names in mind to christen er?
Nevaeh
Maybe The Covid Canoe lol...
Was expecting an episode alone for taking out the staples lol.
Yeah that took a spell for sure.
dont throw out those forms. you can modify them for your next vessel. its not a hobby its an addiction .
Wow! If I hadn't seen the canoe being built by you and fiberglass ed by you I'd never of known it was gand made! Totally awesome job so far Troy! Can't wait to see her on the water! Do you have a name for her yet? Much love from So.Cal.💟
Maybe The Covid Canoe ? lol
How about C-19 ... spelt Sea-19? Covid sounds I don't know a bit off, not quite right to me, but she is your canoe so you pick whatever name you want for her and paint it on her bow?
Wicked Troy, great episode of your build. U are doing great work. I love the character the boat has with the knots in the planking.
What wood did u use for the planking? Pine, White Cedar or Spruce?
Can’t wait to see the next video.
Spruce. Thanks.
Whats the final weight of canoe? Portaging must be a real workout!
60lbs...
They call the first coat a
''spit coat''..
In the book I purchased, written by expert boat builder, Gil Gilpatrick, he calls it the "sealer coat"...So I'll stick with calling it that as well. Although I did get mixed up several times as I was recording.
were you using polyester resin because epoxy has next to no smell?
Polyester, yes.
super cool ... learn somethin new
