This short video is only a fraction of what Johnny Gaudreau meant as a person, husband, teammate and father.
RIP Johnny. Thank You for everything you did in Calgary aswell as Columbus.
I'm literally going to my father's funeral this weekend because he was hit by a car while walking home. This hits me in all kinds of levels. Don't drink and drive, ever! Smarten up. Look at the devastation you could cause. RiP Johnny hockey. Go play a game of pond hockey with my dad.

Rangers fan here. Dude was a legend in the Jersey area but also a legend as a United States player too. On top of that, he was a legend off ice too. Words can’t describe this tragedy. I think the Flames and Jackets should both put 13 in the rafters for him. Not only was he a great player, he seemed like a stand up guy and he and his family truly embraced both Calgary and Columbus while he was playing. Rest in Peace to an absolute legend.

All of us in Calgary are devastated by the loss of these two young men. It was hard to see jhonny leave Calgary, and now it's absolutely devastating to see him and his brother leave this earth over someone's selfish decision.

Thought I might keep control until seeing the pic of the 6 or 8 year old Gaudrau in the Flyers jersey. Coach Mite, Squirt, and PeeWees in Duluth and saw all of the kids I've coached over 40 years and started balling my eyes out for all of the parents who have lost children. May they all find peace.

I haven’t really understood what death is. How do you just wake up one day and never wake up again? It’s not fair. Not fair to the people who know you, not fair to the people who love you, who you love, death is not fair. The world was robbed of more smiles, more goals, assists and classic Johnny moments. The Gaudreau’s will never be the same from this, the hockey world will never be the same, and the Calgary flames and Columbus blue jackets organizations will never be the same from this.
Johnny and Matthew, be part of the best allstar team on the rinks of heaven, skating around, smiling and shining your affectionate smiles and glorious personalities on the lives you touched.

I heard about him that he never turned down a fan, he tried to please everyone and gave out smiles, photos, autographs and it made him very happy that he made someone else happy, you can see in his eyes what a great guy he was, nice and a good person . I'm from the Czech Republic and I love the NHL as much as the other leagues, every time I get up to work in the morning, I look at the results, who scored a goal in which team and very often I saw Johnny in the statistics. He was a huge star both on the ice and in life, now he is our star in the sky along with his brother Matthew.
