Woosung's solo albums are so good in their own right and I love that they actually perform some of his solo stuff on tour, particularly during the HEAL tour since they didn't have as many recent albums to pull their setlist from. I also love that Woosung has clearly stated in interviews that The Rose comes first no matter how successful he becomes as a solo artist.
LAAZZY…WOOSUNG has a very romantic voice. I love his voice and the gentle look in his eyes.

Woosung's voice is all-natural, that rasp and those trills are something he does without even trying. It's most unintentional. In fact, when he was a trainee, or during one of those survival shows he competed in, they told him to stop doing those trills, 'cos it was vocally incorrect. But he never stopped and now it's like his signature, it's what makes him stand apart from everyone else. As for Mindset, both Woosung and The Rose took part in contributing to the Mindset App. It's a self-help app and I use it and subscribe to it yearly. Other artists who are in it include Jay B from GOT7 and many more.The artists basically record these videos of them talking about their life experiences and sharing what they learned from it. Then those of us who use the app can learn from them and also take inspiration from what they went through. It's a great motivational tool as well. I find it particularly useful to just get myself going everyday. There are motivational quotes daily, and daily reflections, and everyday you can write down what you were grateful for that day. Woosung and The Rose shared their life experiences in it, and it's really great listening to what they had to say.
I love this song so much! Also, the dog in the video is his real dog in life. his dog name is Wolfy. Woosung solo albums are so amazing and so good! Also, mindset is a series that woosung and the rose did to help with mental health and depression...its a talk series. Its amazing series to watch!

When I first discovered The Rose, I went into a rabbit hole and also discovered Woosung’s solo songs and Lazy was one of the first songs I heard and was obsessed! It was on repeat for hours! Lol. I had the opportunity to see The Rose live last week in San Francisco, and they were so amazing!!! I’m going again to see them next month in November in LA. I just freakin love The Rose especially Woosung!!! His raspy voice is what made me become a fan!!! 🌹😍

Yes Woosung's (aka Sammy's) unique vibrato/shake and rasp in his voice is what hooked me when I first heard The Rose. They sang an OST for the kdrama "Strangers from Hell" and I was like who in the hell is that?! I need to find that voice!! Looked them up and fell in love with their music. Then Woosung dropped his solo album "Moth" and I melted. His voice is just so alluring. The whole album is 🔥🔥🔥🔥.
Btw that's Woosung's dog Wolfie. He's so beautiful.

BTW, did you notice a familiar face in the Lazy MV? The JREKML CZcams Channel... heard of it? Yup, JRE was in this MV. He's interviewed The Rose a few years ago for one of his videos on his channel. That's probably how he became a part of Woosung's MV. I was surprised to see him there, 'cos I've been watching his channel for years now. But I had never watched this MV until I came to know of The Rose.
This song is one of my favorites. He does Modern Life live with acoustic guitar. So good. As someone else said, that is his dog Wolfy he's a pomeranian/ Alskan Huskie mix I think.Woosung tells the story of how the shaving part comes about on the Deabak show with Eric Nam (suoer funny). Woosung released the Genre album, Lazy single, and Moth EP while the other guys were in the Army. Lastly, I love Woosung's voice, but his Mindset from Dive Studios is what sold me. It is so relatable.

Yea, both of Woosung's Genre and Moth albums were basically developed when the band was going through their lawsuit with their label, which is also why the members choose to enter the military at that time for 2 yrs. Genre was released while the members were still in military and I believe Moth was released not long after Hajoon and Jaehyeong got out of military and before they established their Windfall label to produce their own music.
You have to listen to another Woosung's prod : Phase me. It's on his solo album Moth. Actually the entire album is great... again 🤗

I love this guy ! Woosung solo songs as well as The Rose songs are so great ! The only physical CD albums i have bought since years (besides BTS 's albums and members solo of course) . One day, I hope I will see them on stage, unfortunately I missed their last concert in France . (they have a lot of fans here in France and it's well deserved )
They will probably come in Europe next year for the Dawn to Dusk Tour. Don't miss them, they are incredible on stage. I saw them twice Last year in Switzerland and it was an unforgettable experience 🌹🌹🌹

In an interview Woosung talks about his vocal trills or vibrato. He said that when he was in the first company they tried to train this out of him, because he was using his voice
wrong. But he says that because he is so stubborn he never followed the mentors advice. If you see one of his performances from KPOP star you will notice he does these things even from the beginning. On another note, something funny about this video is that Reddy the rapper couldn't be there and they literally recorded his part of the video on a Zoom type call.

Definitely watch the Mindset videos... especially The Rose's most recent series of 3 videos that talk about their dark times and the things they learned to get through it and the mental health struggles they had. They are really insightful and deep.
